❤️💛💚💙💜We’re supporting Leeds Pride tomorrow and some of our staff will be heading in Leeds City Centre to celebrate. However Liam, Rowan and Megan will be in the cafe from 9am - 6pm to offer refreshments to those choosing to keep it local ❤️💛💚💙💜

Who’s coming down for a coffee ?

We’ve a bit of more of something for everyone tomorrow including a few new snacks;
Bacon rolls available from 9am Pork pies, chilli pork pies, sausage rolls, vegetable sausage rolls and scotch eggs
... From 11am we’ve got our homemade dairy free Vegan friendly blackberry buns alongside our Lemon and Mango sorbet and some gluten free cakes!

Have a look at this, it looks like the park will have some tasteful entertainment on offer over this beautiful summer period.
We heard a rumour (there’s a song there somewhere) that some local groups wanted to try and apply for a bandstand in the park after the success of the last event earlier this year.

As many of you are aware our licence has been submitted to the council and the consultation period has begun.
Naturally some people will object to this, however did you know that you can support us with our application by writing to the council with letters of support. This can be done online once you have registered and it takes less than a minute to register.
... Often only negatives are sent in to the council, so we would really appreciate you giving up a few minutes to have your voice heard, so if you like the idea of or proposed licence cafe at the heart of the community then please follow the link below.

Dairy free vegan blackberry buns

You may have seen our licence application for the cafe, for clarity we have a vision we would like to share
We would like to offer varied entertainment for the community, for example...
We would like an afternoon cream scone to sit with a pimms cocktail or an iced tea in landscaped grounds.
... A school play in our courtyard, whilst we serve up picnic baskets
On an evening we envision small tapas dishes, low key background music so people can talk, in comfy surroundings with a premium drinks offer. A cosy place for couples to unwind and have a catch-up.
We’re picturing a glass of wine or a sparkling cucumber water with a sandwich, or a premium pint from the bar, sat in front of a roaring fire in winter.
A liquor coffee or a freshly brewed teapot on a cold winters day after taking the dog for a walk.
Something that’s a nice peaceful haven around beautiful surrounds, with a herb garden and where in summer children can paint plant pots and take herbs home, whilst mum and dad enjoy either a soft drink or maybe a 1/2 of local ale.
We are currently operating and know that as a cafe alone this isn’t a viable business.
The passion we have for the community is huge, we are extremely responsible operators.

Myself and my mum visited for the first time yesterday...and it certainly won't be the last time! Such a lovely place and the staff (2 young men) provided fantastic service. We were very impressed with what you have achieved so far and the good selection of food&drinks on offer given the circumstances. Keep up the good work and can't wait to return!
