A Big Thank You to all todays visitors who experienced problems with the poorly signed local Road Closures @eswater_care All visitors looking to visit us over the weekend, access is still available via Thrigby Road from the A1064 despite the road closure signs.

It’s Tuesday which means it’s Croc feeding day! Make it snappy and head to the swamp house. The Crocs will be fed on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer. They are not fed at a set time but it is usually late morning/early afternoon, specific times will be advertised on site on the day. 🐊

Everybody loves a nice cold ice lolly on a hot day! We are keeping the animals nice and cool by making them frozen treats. Here’s one of our Siamang Gibbons enjoying an ice block with added lemon juice, fruit and seeds. 🍦☀️

It's a girl! 💗
We are pleased to announce that our eight week old Snow Leopard cub is in perfect health and she has had her first set of vaccinations. She is venturing out into the enclosure now and can often be seen exploring and playing with Mum.

Make the most of your visit to Thrigby Hall this Easter by watching our team of keepers feeding the animals and listen to their informative talks. These take place daily at the following times:
Leopards: 2.30pm Tigers: 3.00pm Monkeys: 3.30pm... Otters: 4.00pm
(It's still a bit too cold to feed the Crocs so keep an eye on our facebook page and website as we will advertise on there when their feeds start).

The sun is out, the snow has gone and we are very happy to be open today!!

User

Unfortunately we will have to remain closed today. There is a lot of compacted ice on the paths and walkways which has made them very dangerous. We have also had some burst pipes which have flooded the cafe and toilets.

User

We have had more snowfall overnight and the roads in the local area are still dangerous so we will remain closed today. We are hopeful that we will be open tomorrow. We will provide updates on our social media and website so please check or call us on 01493 369477 before travelling.
The animals are all fine and our Red Panda (Bamber) has been out exploring in the snow this morning!

User

Due to the poor road conditions, low temperatures and icy conditions around the park we have made the decision to remain closed today. We are working hard to clear the paths and hope to re-open tomorrow. Please keep an eye on our social media pages and website for updates.

User

Sorry but we are closed to the public again today. The roads in the local area are treacherous and many are completely blocked by snow drifts. We cannot thank our staff enough for the efforts that they have made to get in to work today to make sure that the animals are all ok. Please be assured that all animals are fine, fed and warm. Here’s a great video of our Otters playing in the snow and hunting for their food:

Went yesterday with 7 adults all ages. £14.50 entry with pound off ticket and £13.50 oap. Been loads of times before since 90s. Not a massive zoo but well laid out and good variety of animals which are clearly well looked after and healthy looking. Big picnic area as well as a good cafe and clean big toilets. The monkeys are great entertainment and the tigers and leopards are beautiful. Lots of families, disabled people in wheelchairs, motorised scooters etc as easy to get round. Spent about 3 hours there but could have stayed longer.

This was the highlight of the holiday for all!! (Hard to please us all with an age range of 15-77!)

Amazing to get up so close to such beautiful animals, the staff were so kind and helpful and catered brilliantly to all of us (even with the allergies!)

If you are nearby make sure you go, you won’t regret it!!! 👍

User

On the whole it was a smaller sized animal park compared to others I have visited but it was beautifully laid out in beautiful grounds.

I loved the walkways that took you above the cages to give you perfect viewing points if the animals. The range of animals was bigger than expected and to finally see alligator and crocodiles up close and not through glass was amazing.

I was very impressed with it all, what a tranquil and superb place to take the family. I will be back!

User

Much better than I expected, especially after reading the odd negative reviews..!

Much bigger than I expected, lots of different animals to see you wouldn't find at all zoo's/wilkdlife places... Tigers, snow lepoard, otters, meerkats, crocodiles/alligators were my favorite!

However there is a naughty Cockutoo here who when i put my handbag down grabbed my bag strap and pulled it through the bars, got a big hole in my river island bag now :(

User

Loved it here , my first time in coming here and actually didn’t wanna leave could of spent the whole day here Wright in my element with all the big cats and see my first snow Leopard as you don’t see many these days and not only that got to see the cub before the park closed before Mum picked her up and took her back to bed lol . Also the staff were very friendly and very helpful , will deffo be coming back to see all the stunning animals here

User

I have been to bigger zoos in the uk but this was by far the best, got there just before 12pm and stayed till closing time 5pm, brilliant to get up so close to all the animals, a decent selection of animals too, staff were really friendly aswell, loved the baby macaques and gibbons! I love terrapins so seeing them semi wild in the lake was a personal highlight of mine also fell in love with mango the cockatoo i did not want to leave her, my parents live nearby in hemsby so will definitley be visiting here everytime i am down, my one year old son absolutely loved it aswell and there was a perfect big garden for our halfway picnic!

Having just moved to Norfolk we visited for the first time last month and brought annual passes while we were there. It’s a small wildlife park, not as modern as other bigger animal parks and appears a little run down in places, it does not have a huge array of animals but the best thing is how close you can get to the animals they do have. Walkways and paths mean you can great views of the animals without there always being a fence in the way or having to view enclosures from ground level. And the tigers often rest on a platform next to the viewing platform. I often hear comments about the small size of the enclosures and the animals pacing . If you don’t like seeing animals in captivity then this place is not for you. However if you want the opportunity to see some beautiful big cats and primates up close, then it’s worth a visit, you will easily see all the animals within a few hours so probably a half day outing, today the sun was shining and it was lovely to see all the big cats relaxed and enjoying sunbathing! We also saw baby primates!!

Had a lovely day today at Thrigby Hall haven't been since I was a kid and was nice to recognise some bits and see lots of new. Absolutely loved the snow leopards and cub. Enjoyed the tree top walks and tiger viewing area. Lunch at onsite cafe/restaurant was very tasty, will definitely be back when we are this way again x

User

Had a day out at Thrigby Wildlife with our Arthritis Club liked how the place was accessible to all, wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly. Excellent for all ages. Animals all kept well in good size enclosures and lots to see.Not bad prices for admission and your money goes towards the upkeep and well being of all the animals along with wider conservation projects. Highly recommend a day out here.

User

Everything about this place is fabulous! I’m so grateful to the staff today my son is autistic and doesn’t deal with queues at all he often lashes out with frustration the zoo totally got this and very kindly let us through! The animals were fabulous and we even saw some crocs move! Food isn’t over priced and is very nice! Had a lovely day! Thanks Thrigby x

User

Enjoyable day at Thrigby Hall. Lots of animals, with some very interesting enclosures. The wildlife park itself is not the biggest, but it does make good use of what it has.

Loved the tiger walkway, and the kids were thrilled being very close to these amazing animals. All animals looked well cared for and contented.

Staff were helpful enough, if a little lacking in personality.

User

Cracking place, well worth a visit, not too big so easy to get round. The animals look well cared for, the facilities are very good and the staff are very friendly

User

Absolutely Brilliant! Thrigby, is one of the best wildlife parks I've ever been to. It was wonderful to be able to get so close to the animals via the high level walks, especially the tigers, such beautiful creatures, as are all your animals. I was very impressed with your forest & swamp houses, I don't recall ever seeing a salty croc in any other zoo I've visited in this country. Excellent facilities, cafe/wc, plus play areas for children, my granddaughter, was very impressed. From myself & my family, Thank you, Thrigby, for an excellent day out.

User

A very relaxing unhurried day with ample viewings of wildlife within short distances.Picnic areas in abundance. All staff very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a very hot day which was a pity but it did not spoil the pleasures of the park.Children always found the time to demonstrate their abilities in the play area.We were very pleased to witness the red Pandas which were very agile at the time, when normally they like to sleep a lot, also the tigers were relaxing in their own surroundings and cooling down in the water areas and enjoying themselves. All in all a very beautiful day out,and we will return in the future that’s for sure.

User

A lovely place. Plenty to see and do. Staff were all brilliant. We went for a day out there during our weeks break at Yarmouth and glad we did. Getting close to the animals was mind boggling, especially the tigers. We watched them being fed along with the monkeys and the otters. Cafe was excellent, toilets were clean. Gift shop wasnt selling expensive stuff like many do! Very reasonably priced. We fell in love with Monty the parrot and we wanted to take him home. Well worth a visit. An excellent setting with plenty of parking.

User

This is a great little zoo, treading that fine line between good living conditions for the animals and good viewing conditions for the people. It's a bit faded and some of the information boards could do with refreshing, but the animals all seem healthy and happy and there are a good number of beautiful, rare creatures to see.

User

Nice collection of animals and other things, but and this is a big but, the enclosures are looking a bit tired with very little stimulation for the animals, green dirty water does not fill you with confidence that all is as it should be. An ok day out but wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

User

Lovely day out with my kids till it came to lunch time no kids meal on offer and really not a lot of choice for me or the kids food is really over priced as not a lot of it either

User

This place is disgusting, the poor animals. It absolutely stinks, it’s so so dirty, there’s poo EVERYWHERE. Many animals were in a bad way. Really want my money back but doubt that would be an option. We left feeling really depressed and shocked. Terrible. Never felt like this about any zoo, wildlife park, farm before. It just felt wrong. Pacing big cats. A cockatoo was having some kind of psychotic break. The mandarin ducks were swimming in something similar to the consistency of tar, a couple of them didn’t look well. Piles of leopards in small enclosures. Mountains of bird poo on the walkways, like, mountains. And I’ve paid money to support this? I don’t agree with it and I certainly wouldn’t willingly or knowingly pay my money to support it. You should be ashamed. That ammonia smell though?! I can’t seem to unsmell it. Disgusting.
