Based in Cornwall and surrounded by the sea, Triskel Marine Limited (TML) is perfectly placed to understand and work with the marine environment. From our office overlooking the water, we are constantly reminded of how demanding the sea can be.

TML’s core skill is marine data management. We collect data from multiple sources, bring it all to one place and then process it to provide useful information to the user. Over the past 10 years we have developed a range of hardware and software solutions for ocean monitoring buoys, where systems are deployed for months at a time with no possibility of external support.

Latterly we have taken this experience and focussed it on vessel data monitoring. Our most recent successes have been in hybrid marine propulsion management, whole vessel energy management and remote performance monitoring.

Hybrid propulsion requires in depth monitoring of all of the vessel’s diverse systems in order to make them function efficiently as a single operational unit. This is TML’s home ground, “listening” to the engines, motors, batteries, power electronics and navigational systems and presenting the data as a single coherent whole. Our skill is converting complex data streams into useful information from which management and control then flow.

Energy management is an integral part of hybrid systems but also stands alone regardless of the propulsion type. TML captures and visualises the energy flows in the vessel and then uses cost and operational requirements to make choices about which energy source to use and which consumers to prioritise.
Delivering information to the end user is the final piece of the puzzle. Whether it is by wi-fi, radio, mobile phone or satellite, we have the technology to deliver your information wherever you need it.
