Wonderful weekend break. The thermal suite is excellent value and luxurious, facilities all lovely and the massage treatment we booked in advance was fantastic. Excellent value for money and we were served by attentive and hard working staff all weekend - from reception to spa to restaurant / bar. The room was well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. We can't wait to come back

Performed here in ‘Only Fools’ show on 24th March, just wanted to say what an absolutely fantastic audience and staff we had. 200 guests with only ten staff but all served exceptionally well. Really impressed and felt so welcomed, thank you.

Just had to leave a review after celebrating my wedding at Ufford Park on the 7th July.

From start to end the staff had done a wonderful job on making sure the day went perfectly. There just isn't a single negative comment I can make, I have spoken to many of the wedding guests that were staying at the hotel and they have all said the same thing - "it's perfect". Having alot of family travelling from most westerly of the UK and the most northern they all felt comfortable and relaxed from the moment they arrived. Myself and my Wife we would like to thank all at Ufford Park but a special mention and thanks to Kelvin as he truly went above duty to make sure our day went perfect.

Also Laura would like to say a big thank you to Lili for organising and being so accomadating whilst planning our special day.

From all the family and friends that attended, and of course myself and Laura, a MASSIVE thank you :) .

I have just treated my friend and myself to a Spa Indulgence day-night. Our room was very clean and comfortable, we started the afternoon with a massage which was excellent. Lovely staff very attentive. We then spent several hours between the spa, pool followed by the Thermal suite that was included in our package. All very relaxing with staff only to willing to answer our questions. Our dinner was lovely, staff friendly very enjoyable evening. Breakfast very good. I can not fault anything, very relaxed friendly hotel/spa. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Fabulous Fabulous what more can I say

Afternoon tea, spa, dinner, hotel room and then breakfast

Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday special

A group of 13 of us visited ufford Park on 19th May for a group spa day (which we pre-booked). Prior to even arriving on the day, Stella from the spa team communicated through email with me and answered all of my queries, and so did the hotel reception. During the day we had everything explained to us clearly by a blondish haired lady who was manning the spa reception (didn’t get her name). As part of our visit we had use of the spa thermal suite, a 30 minute treatment and afternoon tea. One of the 13 of us is wheat and gluten intolerant but Ufford Park still offered a full afternoon tea to meet her dietary requirements, and then on the day one person advised they were vegetarian, and within minutes the team had brought out cheese sandwiches for her. Overall it was a lovely, relaxing day and the team were really accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Went to the driving range with a few family/friends during saturday lunch time, we really enjoyed ourselves and you can't argue with the price.

Only downside is it was absolutely freezing that day and out of the 9 or so bays upstairs, only half of them actually had a heater. And to make it worse, only 2 of the heaters actually worked! And you would only feel warmth if you stood underneath them, they didnt help when you were actually hitting the balls.

So could improve on that front.

User

The room was very nice... But... the staff doing breakfast in the morning were completely overwhelmed and could clearly not cope... It was not that busy but it was a constant dance of, there is no plate, there is no eggs, there is no juice, there is no milk in the coffee machine, there is no bacon... there spent the 40 minutes reacting to what the customers were telling them was missing, no one seemed to actually manage the place... The 3 girls didn’t crack a smile the whole time, I expect it was not their normal attitude but they were clearly aware that something was wrong but clearly didn’t have enough experience to do much about it

User

My mum purchased a 2 for 1 thermal suite voucher including lunch for me to congratulate me on passing my accounts qualification. The spa itself did not let me down as all working ok and was also lovely and quiet. The biggest let down was the lunch, they were the smallest lunches I have ever seen! The food had to be ordered from the spa reception as it’s a separate menu. Thank One tiny fish cake on a tiny salad with 5 tiny new potatoes! Just as well I brought with me plenty of healthy snacks!! Think it’s worth paying for spa and lunch separately as looking at the “deals” the prices are not really discounted to warrant booking, eso if the food is not from the standard menu!

User

First time we have been and decently priced but did not appreciate the maintenance works going on in the room next to ours at 9 am and how much you can hear the kids running round in the corridors at 8. Pool is also small and unless you have access to the thermal suite spa you don't really get much room in the sauna. Other than that nice hotel, bar may want to modernise a bit and come into the cocktail trade as it's one of the only things missing.

User

After spending an enjoyable experience in the spa was totally appalled to not once but twice at the bar to wait over 10 mins to be served, the first time there was one person in front of me the second time there was no one in front of me. The prices are too high for this level of service. In the evening the blue lagoon cocktail was almost alcohol free! On a positive room was large and clean and a comfortable bed.

User

I took my daughter for Afternoon Tea this week. Unfortunately I thought it was not value for money. There was no ambience, we sat on uncomfortable chairs. We both had a coffee but just the one. We were not offered another. We had a small sausage in a roll and a prawn roll no lovely sandwich fingers with various fillings that other places offer. The scones were very heavy and the cream was tasteless and very runny. The cream cakes left a lot to be desired, in fact I had half a one and my daughter couldn’t face a second bite of hers. A disappointing event that was meant to be a Birthday treat. The staff however were polite and efficient. The Lavenham Swan and Milsoms win hands down.

User

Weve been here lots to use the spa over the years and after a previous bad experience we Shouldn't have bothered again but gave it the benefit of the doubt, went last night for a relaxing birthday treat with my husband and left with a banging headache and more stressed than when we went in. The spa was ridiculously over booked, well over 20 people in the small spa area, couldn't get in the spa pool because of this, only got into one of the steam rooms as the other one wasn't working and only got to go in it for 2 short bursts in the 2 hours as there was too many people so never space to go in. It was so so loud with the large group of girls shouting and laughing and messing around, shouting over eachother at the top of their voices which echoed round the spa and doubled the already loud volume. Life guards came and went several times with out a single comment to them. Just disrespectful, spas are for relaxing and quiet time not a large social gathering of drunk women. Spoke to the receptionist on leaving who couldn't give a hoot and it's the second time we have been and spoken to the same lady who is just rude and couldn't care less after she's taken your money. Won't be going again, really disappointed and ruined my birthday evening

Went for afternoon teas for Mother’s Day with my nan and was a total disaster. We were sent to an unwelcoming room which was basically a conference room with tables in. The waitress was lovely and took our requests for tea coffee etc. Then the afternoon tea for 5 arrived on one stand. We had ordered 4 traditional afternoon teas and 1 savoury. We go for afternoon tea often as my nan enjoys it and usually it’s a stand each or 1 stand between two so we thought this was odd. Looking into this further there was not enough sandwiches or cakes for 5 and the savoury tea was Christ knows where?! We told the waitress who said she would take it away and sort it. In the meantime the savoury tea arrived. In the wait for the traditional teas it went cold and to be honest looked pretty disappointing and had items missing! The waitress came back to tell us the manager would be coming over by this point we were growing annoyed. The manager appeared at the same time the afternoon tea did. Again 5 afternoon teas presented on one stand and a plate of sandwiches! We expressed to our manager why we felt this wasn’t acceptable and he asked us what he expected him to do and frankly they didn’t have enough stands. He completely missed the concept of afternoon tea! He was quite argumentative and proceeded to argue with my nan.. on Mother’s Day?! We told him we could of had nan over to one of our homes and given her sandwiches on a plate but he just didn’t care! We left and my nan was very upset. I will be calling tomorrow to discuss as this is utterly unacceptable and we travelled over an hour to take her out! Would not return if you paid us!

I have been staying at the hotel on and off for several months. Recently I have taken up golf and planned to learn, practice and play while I stay here.

We have given the hotel lots of business on a weekly basis and paid money for the driving range many times.

As a new golfer you have to start somewhere. We were previously told we could use the pitching area.

So while practicing on the pitching area a friend and I were very rudely asked to leave. Accusing us of hacking up the greens.

I believe he is the club pro/manager but there is no way he should of spoke down his nose at us the way he did. Everyone has to start somewhere and I’m very insulted by the way he spoke to us.

There was no need and he could of just told us what we were doing wrong and we would of stopped.

Absolutely disgusted by this man.

User

Came for Christmas lunch with my family & we were really looking forward to this, however this was a very bad experience.

Service was not the best, no check backs at all, never received our water we ordered & food was disgusting.

Warm plate cold food, over cooked veg & thick lumpy gravy.

It took so long between each meal clear tables & one staff member had no idea what food he was bringing to our table!!

There was no ambiance & it was slightly uncomfortable around the table.

The Santa & the little helpers were a nice touch though!

I do not like to leave bad reviews however I feel

This must be said so this can be amended.

Would not return.

Booked for my daughter and her partner for their special birthdays. They were so looking forward to their relaxing spa and treatments. Unfortunately not. Spa was over full so they couldn’t get in! No treatments available for 48 hours. So the spent the afternoon in the bar with NO spa! They came down for dinner and service was appalling, food not very good. They ordered a bottle of wine and had to ask for a wine cooler to put it in! On the whole a bad experience that spoilt a special weekend. Very disappointing. Suggest that booking staff recommend booking any treatments in advance to arrival as this is clearly this is the only way to get an appointment. Suggest also that hotel guests get priority for the spa.

Such a shame as they could have had a cheaper non spa hotel and a much better weekend.
