What a difference since the make over, great bar to have a drink before you go to your table, we had a booth for 2 very nice. And as always the food was top class. Well done Gabby and the team.

Went tonight with my friend and had delicious food in a gorgeously refurbished restaurant. Service was fast and professional. We'd been served and eaten 2 courses within 40mins of sitting down! If I could make one suggestion it would be to have Ambient music to create a better atmosphere. Love this place and will defo return x

Went for opening night last night and I honestly cannot fault a single thing! The service was fantastic, every dish was impeccable and delicious and the new decor was stunning! Absolutely perfect!

Not been for a long time due to moving Away.. but well worth returning!!! Looks amazing... and well done Gabby and team!!!! �

I've visited so many times over the past 20+ years. Both as a booking and walk-in. It's always been fantastic, I've never been disappointed and have taken many friends who have been back time and again. Great selection of food with good value lunch and tea time options. The only minor negative is I feel the drinks are expensive, but when taken with fabulous value meals it balances out

Anniversary treat ... Went early evening as unfortunately it was fully booked tonight .. what can I say ... beautifully renovated restaurant ... very attentative staff .. the food ... absolutely amazing ... huges portions ... we dont need to eat for a week now .. We have never been to Verdes before and can honestly say you'll be our restaurant of choice in the future ... we will be back ...

Yes very nice inside with new decor , food still good but noticed u now charge for veg etc which can be expensive. Service was definitely not up to usual standards as we been comin 30 yrs or so .

First visit to Verdes and we were expecting great things from the website and Facebook page. Drinks orders taken and arrived quickly but that was the best service we received all night. We had to repeatedly stop waiters to chase up further drinks, food arrived for 3 out of 4 of us so had to chase the 4th persons food for starter and main. When it came to desserts we once again flagged down a waiter to be told he would bring us the dessert menu, never came back, second waiter said there wasn’t a dessert menu and just offered 4/5 different options off the top of his head. Gave up when it came to the bill so went up to the counter just to get paid up and away. Food was lovely just a shame the service had no direction, no designated areas to take care of and no Maitre d. You need a barman taking care of drinks whilst the waiters look after the diners. Not quite sure who was in charge but if you sort this out it could be amazing.

(expecting it to come with either if the above..) this was more like half a chicken fillet with bisto gravy and a few peppercorns thrown in... who in their right mind wants to have just a chicken fillet and gravy on a plate on its own looking lost for £15+ ... to add insult to injury we were then charged an extra £3 each for a bowl of fries?? So.. almost £20 for chicken and chips... seriously?? This is shocking for what was once an excellent restraunt...

let me know when you sort this shambles out and I may return as I'm sure most of your customers old and new would agree you are taking the Michael...!

Poor service the worst i have ever come across list to big to go on about.. but worst thing was plate of ribs arrived with a ball point pen in the middle told waiter he just said O picked it up took it away came back with another plate and said nothing no sorry not a word...

Just come back from verdes and i enjoyed the restaurant building decor etc. Reason for a 2 star is because what i asked for was with no sauce but it turned up with sauce and thought id try it but it was awful. Glad i had a starter because im still starving.

Maybe in future I might come back but it wont be soon enough.

Visited last night with friends. The food and service was extremely disappointing and very expensive. Tasteless scampi dish with undercooked rice at £15.95. Chicken wrapped in bacon with a tasteless tomato sauce at £15 I would have expected some vegetable accompaniments but it was a piece of over cooked chicken on a plate. A disgrace. Seafood risotto had 3 mussels and 2 pieces of salmon not what I call a seafood risotto. Escalope of veal was dry and looked awful on the plate. When our main course plates were taken away none of the staff came back to ask if we wanted desserts or coffees. So we walked out very disgruntled. This was an experience I will not be repeating.

The service has gone terrible since the refit. Twice we have tried to book/get a table and been spoken to like rubbish. With two other great Italians locally - Fresco Fresco & San Marcos, we won’t be trying a third time.

I’d give it a miss if I was you.

One drink in one and a half hours no offer of drinks desserts etc absolutely ruined our night for 6 people who were out for a special occasion. The food was bland and of very poor quality and staff weren’t bothered when we complained. Not enough staff on duty and certainly no leadership. We were regular customers at one time but I will never go back again.

Not the best to be honest , everything came with a massive amount of salad for some strange reason
