As we get into the last week of term we'd like to thank our clients for the memories from this Chapter. We've really loved watching your little ones progress and enjoy themselves in the pool - it's why we do what we do!
As you hopefully head out to do some swimming in your own time this summer, we'd like to encourage you to practice what you've learnt, ensure you stay safe & have lots of fun! Keep sharing your summer swimming on here and in our group. The summer break can feel quite long, and us teachers love to see what you've got up to!

Our swimmer of the week for last week was little Oscar, who swims with his Dad at Dronfield.
Oscar moved pools at the end of his last Chapter and has coped with the adjustment brilliantly. At first he was a little reluctant to take part in some of the underwater swims, however over the last few weeks he's really grown in confidence and now he's got a smile on his face for the whole lesson.
... A big shout out also to Oscar's Dad who is reassuring, supportive and doesn't ever force Oscar to do things that he's not happy to do. By letting Oscar take the lead, both Dad and little one are now getting the most out of their lessons and showing some amazing skills in the pool!

Amelia's story....
Meet lovely little Amelia. Amelia is one of our current Water Babies and has overcome the challenges that many toddlers, babies & parents go through - leaving their swimming journey and returning again after some time. Amelia has had ups and downs, like many children do, but now she is loving swimming again.
"Water babies was one of the best things we did for Amelia from being a baby she loved the water and enjoyed her classes every week. It was such a sham...e to have to have to stop but coming back has been a great experience so far. If you are thinking of joining or even returning after a break do not hesitate the teachers and amazing and friendly . The atmosphere is so nice and everyone is welcoming. Did you know that backfloating is an important safety skill?
Encouraging your little one to be confident and relaxed on their backs in the water could help them stay safe in a difficult situation. Struggling or tiring in the water can mean getting into difficulty, and the ability to rotate and float on your back to conserve energy and shout for help is a key safety skill.
... At Water Babies, we introduce back floating right at the beginning of Chapter 1 and it's something we progress right the way through their journey as your little one develops and gains confidence and independence.

Are you loving this wonderful sunny, summer weather we're having?
We are too, but we have to confess, sometimes it does present problems in the pool. Sun lotions and potions can cause chemical and clarity issues and we kindly ask that where possible, you shower off or refrain from using sun lotions before your swimming lessons. We understand that this isn't always possible, but if you can help us where you can, we can help keep our pools crystal clear for you to enjoy!

🤓 Goggles are Great! 🤓
Whether you're doing your digi swims in Chapter 1, Ring-a-Roses in Chapter 2, Glide Swims in Chapter 3, or Holiday Swims in Chapter 5, goggles are great at helping you get the most out of lesson and to maximise on the joy of watching your little superstar under the water.

We are about to start chapter 4 and we have loved every session since we started chapter 1. I love spending time bonding and having fun in the pool with my little one. I never though it was possible for babies so young to learn these swimming skills, it's amazing to see!

Water Babies South Yorkshire is absolutely amazing. Both of my children learnt to swim with them, from the age of 3 months and 6 months, and at the age of 5 my son achieved his 100m badge, and at 4 my daughter achieved her 25m badge. They are both 'water babies' - loving swimming under the water more than on the surface. The Water Babies classes were fun and informative, and all the staff are exceptionally knowledgable, friendly and encouraging. I would highly recommend these classes.

Was mine n my baby's last lesson today as next week we go away.. I love loved the experience and just want to says a huge thank you to donna our teacher she as been fantastic and my little girl is 6 month and as come on miles in the water she is fantastic at her job.. highly recommend

My son Ronan was 21 months old when we started Water Babies in may 2017. He has done two chapters so far and signed up for the next. It’s not too late for toddlers to learn to swim. He has learned really quickly to catch up and enjoys every lesson. It is fun for him while he’s learning to swim. His teacher Rosemary J is an excellent friendly lady and I wouldn’t be where I am with my son swimming with out her. Thank you x

My little girl loves her lessons with water babies! It's smiles all round when she's in the swim hold and she kicks like a frog when she's under the water :)

My little girl has been attending water babies since September 2014. She loves it and don't get me wrong at the start she wasn't so keen as she was 9 months old and the eldest in her class she had her own mind and didn't want to do half the things like the other babies. But we carried on to the 2nd term and it's the best decision we have made, its well worth the money and she now tries to get in to the pool before her lesson has started!

My little boy has nearly finished his first chapter at wales primary school and he absolutely loves it, it has built his confidence in water so much!! Can't wait to start chapter 2 �� would highly recommend ��

My little boy absolutely loves the swimming classes! Louise is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable as some things can be quite daunting but you feel at ease with Louise and my son has developed amazingly and I'm so proud and impressed at what he can do! We have been through chapter 1&2 so far and I am amazed! Would definitely recommend Waterbabies �

My baby girl is loving every minute of the classes and I am loving spending time in the water with her. Its absoloutly amazing how natural it is to them at such a young age. Water Babies has been the best decision we’ve made! Would 100% recommend and cannot wait to start Chapter 2 :)

Max has just finished his first chapter at Greenacre Barnsley and he's loved it. Louise is a lovely teacher who is very good at her job, would definitely recommend water babies. The only downside is you can't get poolside at Greenacre. But otherwise we've loved it as a family. �

Just finished our first term at Waterbabies and we absolutely love it! My little girl has become really confident in the water and has now learnt to hold her breath underwater. Our instructor Rachel is fabulous! She puts you at ease right away and explains everything really clearly. Waterbabies is by far the best group/class I have done with my daughter. Really looking forward to our second term!

Jack absolutely loves his swimming lessons he’s so much more confident and I’m a lot more comfortable with him in water. I never imagined I could let him go underwater and he would swim to the top or that he would be taught to hold on to the side of the pool. Our teacher vicky is amazing, it’s fun and could potentially save a babies life. Cannot recommend enough �

I've taken my little man to waterbabies since he was 4mths old have loved every minute. There has been moments of amazing floating right through to fiesty toddler climbing out n saying 'no' but each moment has made a lasting memory that I will never forget. Helen has been amazing with him and always known when to push him and when to let him be. It's not a cheap activity but I would pay it every time to do it all again. Guttered that we have to stop but at 3 1/2 yrs old I have no doubt this experience will prove it's self to be invaluable for his development.

Best swimming lessons around. I would not dream of going anywhere else and I do nothing but recommend Waterbabies to every new Mum. They’re just the loveliest of classes and all the children I see taught are so advanced. The children are taught through play but there is alway a great focus on safety too. Frankie is so confident around water now and he used to be quite anxious. Onto chapter 11 next, time really does fly by!!!!

Been going to Water Babies for nearly 2 years now and absolutely love it. My little girl went through the water wobbles for quite some time but with the help and encouragement of our fantastic teacher Rosemary, my daughter is once again loving it. We have just been away on holiday with family and they all couldn't believe how much she can do in the water and how much confidence she had jumping in the pool again and again and again.

My husband and I took our little girl to the first chapter of Water Babies. To begin with we both really enjoyed it but as the lessons went on we felt that the main focus was the underwater swims (which we were told, originally, would only be 5% of each lesson). I think this was primarily to prepare us for the underwater photoshoot which we cancelled anyway due to how expensive the photos are! We decided not to take our little girl to the remaining few lessons and we're then surprised to find out that £155 had been taken from our bank account for the next chapter! - apparently it's in the terms and conditions that they store your bank details and input them for the following sessions without contacting you first to inform you that payment will be taken - although when I spoke with my bank they said they are not allowed to do this. When I rang to ask for a refund I felt I was spoken to rather rudely and was told I would have to pay a £30 admin fee to get the money refunded back! Although I was then told that I would be 'let off' with this charge - as if I was supposed to be grateful? There was no courtesy call - even after having missed the previous 3 sessions - I know the swim teacher does a register each week so she would have known that we were not there. We did consider taking our little girl to Water Babies when she was a little older but have completely changed our minds now! and are left feeling very disappointed �

Would totally recommend Water Babies.. My oldest son has absolutely loved going, even carried on through water wobbles... We have now finished but will hopefully be able to come back with my youngest ÔøΩ.

Well worth the money, super teachers, they really go at your pace and make sure your babies are enjoying themselves whilst pushing you just the right amount. So glad I did the course with my little boy, he's been going for almost 2 years now and is really confident in water, as well as having a really good time at lessons.

We started Water Babies with our little man when he was just 12 weeks old. He is now 14 months old and has definitely become a water baby! He is a true lover of water and because of water babies, and our amazing instructor Jacqueline, he has such a lovely confidence with it! Thank you Water Babies!

We have just finished chapter 2. My little boy looks forward to getting in the pool every week. He loves learning new things each week, the songs, the smiles, the splashes. It makes us want to come every week & not miss a thing. Not only do we learn safety & how to swim, we also have so much fun! (Me & him!) if you are thinking about it, deffo give it a go, you will love it! :)

We had our first lesson Sunday and I couldn’t stop talking about it all day so much fun my little boy was so happy was lovely can’t wait to see the progress ��

Water babies is fantastic. All the teachers we have had are great, Anna, Sadie, Leanne, Mandy and Sarah. My son has always loved it and three years on still does can't get him to come up for air..he thinks he's a fish. My daughters not so keen on going under the water, but both love the wobble wobble board.

Second load of classes and Hamilton is a true water baby, he loves every second in the water! Fantastic staff who understand the importance of learning and fun. Can't recommend enough!!

My girl has come so far since her first session at water babies Kings Lynn. It's the best thing I've ever done with her. Xx

I cannot recommend water babies enough!! We have had nothing but support from the girls in the office, to the team teaching in the pool. They have been extremly flexible with us when our little boy was poorly. Our little boy loves these classes, he has grown in confidence and its not only in the water. We both look foward to our class each week! His swimming has improved leaps and bounds since he first started! I would highly recommend!

I can't recommend Water Babies highly enough. Buddy joined at 4 months old and has just started Chapter3. It's great seeing him learn and development, he's like a little fish and absolutely loves being in the water! ÔøΩ

Excellent course my little boy is just under 7 months old and has recently completed his beginner course. He is so confident in the water now and learnt so much during the course. It also gave me so much more confidence when in the pool with my baby and thought me what my baby can achieve if I'm not scared.

Can't recommend enough great for adults to to gain confidence in the water with their little one as well we did lessons for our first and will be going back for number 2 as well x

Been swimming our son since he was 8 weeks old. Now at the stage where he swims underwater and is holding on the side of the pool and moving himself along unaided at 19 months. We love our lessons because they are jam packed with songs, skills and general fun! Would recommend over anywhere else.

We first started lessons with Waterbabies when our daughter was four months old and she has just turned 6! She is doing very well in her swimming lessons now and I know it is all down the confidence and skills gained from Waterbabies from such a young age! My eldest son followed suit starting his lessons when he was 6 months and also loves swimming just as much and swims with great confidence, beyond his years! We are currently still doing lessons with my 2 year old who also looks forward to his swimming lessons each week and has the grounding to continue to do just as well in the future as his siblings! With baby number 4 due in a few months there is no doubt he or she will be doing Waterbabies and follow in their footsteps! These lessons really do provide the best start for creating future swimmers with much more confidence and many more skills than their peers.

We did our first Water Babies class last week when P was just seven weeks old. We felt very safe throughout the session and I was very pleased with how quickly the babies were introduced to swimming underwAter and how naturally they all took to it. She slept very well afterwards!

Very incredible me and my daughter enjoy it a lot. She's very happy when we get there. Can't wait for every lessons.

Really enjoyed our trial at water babies last week. I came away from the class remembering everything we had learnt and am looking forward to practising the skills over the holidays before we start our water babies journey next term. Really enjoyed the easy to learn songs and all the important swim cues we were taught. The changing rooms were really warm too so baby was happy when he got out of the pool. Thanks water babies.

Noah and I r having so much fun at our classes. Jenny is an amazing teacher It's a lovely feeling seeing Noah so happy and making lots of new friends He doesn't stop splashing from the moment we get in until the moment we get out!

My son loves swimming with Water Babies. The teachers are fun and engaging and my son is always excited about going to see our teacher, Becks. He is almost two and a very confident swimmer, he can swim to the edge of the pool and climb out unaided which is a fantastic skill to have learnt.

My four year old is a better swimmer than his dad now because of water babies and now going with my baby, its a lovely way to spend time with him and we both have so much fun! Worth every penny

My daughter started swimming with Water Babies when she was around 7 months old and she 'graduated' with them when she was around 4 years old. It was an amazing experience for her and for me and we always enjoyed the classes; the instructors we had during that time were always friendly yet professional, and it was a joy to watch my daughter's love of swimming develop. My son started when he was around 7 months old as well and is about to finish his last term before he 'graduates' at the age of almost 4 years old. My son started off very reluctant to go underwater and would cry if he even thought he was going to be held by the instructor. Thanks to their patience and support he quickly moved passed this and now prefers to spend all of his time underwater and loves his instructor! Both of my kids love the water and swimming and are continuing their swimming lessons with 'big kid' classes. It has been a great experience overall and the skills that they have learned will be with them for the rest of their lives. Just over five years ago, I emailed Bryony to find out how I could become a teacher of my hands-down favourite baby activity - Water Babies! My first water baby, Rufus, is now nine years old, and swims lengths for an hour every Sunday, and his sister Betty isn't far behind him. And my third, Caspar, absolutely loves his weekly swim with Jane.

As well as the pleasure of seeing my own babies progress through Water Babies, I also love teaching. The Water Babies course is brilliant for carefully progressing babies from first splash to swimming properly, turning reflexes into learnt actions. It's a delight!

So from that first class with baby Rufus to now, Water Babies is a big part of my life!

I was so excited to hear all the rave reviews about waterbabies that I had my first daughters name on the waiting list before she was even born. The classes at Church Farm, near Bath didn't disappoint. The special uninterrupted bonding time we had was like no other, I loved the skin to skin contact, songs and I was totally in awe of my young baby kicking and swimming freely towards me. The way that she progressed through our waterbabies journey until she was nearly 4 was just amazing! Meanwhile I started waterbabies with my second baby and have only finished a few months ago. I can honestly say in that 6 year period every single lesson we went to was fun, professionally taught and each week felt that we were learning something new. The instructors put each little one at the centre of their planning and it always felt as though we had plenty of 1:1 attention. I am so grateful to that special time we had together and that my two girls have developed a life-long love of swimming and have brilliant safety skills around water. I know I will cherish these memories forever and continue to enjoy our special family time in the water. Now I am teaching my own classes it is a joy to pass on the magical world of waterbabies to others. I am sure you will feel the same.

Finley and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with waterbabies. He would always enter the water with a beaming smile and it was a great way for us to bond. Jackie was very patient, encouraging and supportive through a phase of the 'waterwobbles', and thought of creative ways to distract him from tears when needed! He is very confident in the water now. We also made a few good friends from the class. Thank you waterbabies.

We are about to start chapter 4 and we have loved every session since we started chapter 1. I love spending time bonding and having fun in the pool with my little one. I never though it was possible for babies so young to learn these swimming skills, it's amazing to see!

Water Babies South Yorkshire is absolutely amazing. Both of my children learnt to swim with them, from the age of 3 months and 6 months, and at the age of 5 my son achieved his 100m badge, and at 4 my daughter achieved her 25m badge. They are both 'water babies' - loving swimming under the water more than on the surface. The Water Babies classes were fun and informative, and all the staff are exceptionally knowledgable, friendly and encouraging. I would highly recommend these classes.

Was mine n my baby's last lesson today as next week we go away.. I love loved the experience and just want to says a huge thank you to donna our teacher she as been fantastic and my little girl is 6 month and as come on miles in the water she is fantastic at her job.. highly recommend

My son Ronan was 21 months old when we started Water Babies in may 2017. He has done two chapters so far and signed up for the next. It’s not too late for toddlers to learn to swim. He has learned really quickly to catch up and enjoys every lesson. It is fun for him while he’s learning to swim. His teacher Rosemary J is an excellent friendly lady and I wouldn’t be where I am with my son swimming with out her. Thank you x

My little girl loves her lessons with water babies! It's smiles all round when she's in the swim hold and she kicks like a frog when she's under the water :)

My little girl has been attending water babies since September 2014. She loves it and don't get me wrong at the start she wasn't so keen as she was 9 months old and the eldest in her class she had her own mind and didn't want to do half the things like the other babies. But we carried on to the 2nd term and it's the best decision we have made, its well worth the money and she now tries to get in to the pool before her lesson has started!

My little boy has nearly finished his first chapter at wales primary school and he absolutely loves it, it has built his confidence in water so much!! Can't wait to start chapter 2 �� would highly recommend ��

My little boy absolutely loves the swimming classes! Louise is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable as some things can be quite daunting but you feel at ease with Louise and my son has developed amazingly and I'm so proud and impressed at what he can do! Max has just finished his first chapter at Greenacre Barnsley and he's loved it. Louise is a lovely teacher who is very good at her job, would definitely recommend water babies. The only downside is you can't get poolside at Greenacre. But otherwise we've loved it as a family. �

Just finished our first term at Waterbabies and we absolutely love it! My little girl has become really confident in the water and has now learnt to hold her breath underwater. Our instructor Rachel is fabulous! She puts you at ease right away and explains everything really clearly. Waterbabies is by far the best group/class I have done with my daughter. Really looking forward to our second term!

Jack absolutely loves his swimming lessons he’s so much more confident and I’m a lot more comfortable with him in water. I never imagined I could let him go underwater and he would swim to the top or that he would be taught to hold on to the side of the pool. Our teacher vicky is amazing, it’s fun and could potentially save a babies life. Cannot recommend enough �

I've taken my little man to waterbabies since he was 4mths old have loved every minute. There has been moments of amazing floating right through to fiesty toddler climbing out n saying 'no' but each moment has made a lasting memory that I will never forget. Helen has been amazing with him and always known when to push him and when to let him be. It's not a cheap activity but I would pay it every time to do it all again. Guttered that we have to stop but at 3 1/2 yrs old I have no doubt this experience will prove it's self to be invaluable for his development.

Best swimming lessons around. I would not dream of going anywhere else and I do nothing but recommend Waterbabies to every new Mum. They’re just the loveliest of classes and all the children I see taught are so advanced. The children are taught through play but there is alway a great focus on safety too. Frankie is so confident around water now and he used to be quite anxious. Onto chapter 11 next, time really does fly by!!!!

Been going to Water Babies for nearly 2 years now and absolutely love it. My little girl went through the water wobbles for quite some time but with the help and encouragement of our fantastic teacher Rosemary, my daughter is once again loving it. We have just been away on holiday with family and they all couldn't believe how much she can do in the water and how much confidence she had jumping in the pool again and again and again.

My husband and I took our little girl to the first chapter of Water Babies. To begin with we both really enjoyed it but as the lessons went on we felt that the main focus was the underwater swims (which we were told, originally, would only be 5% of each lesson). I think this was primarily to prepare us for the underwater photoshoot which we cancelled anyway due to how expensive the photos are! We decided not to take our little girl to the remaining few lessons and we're then surprised to find out that £155 had been taken from our bank account for the next chapter! - apparently it's in the terms and conditions that they store your bank details and input them for the following sessions without contacting you first to inform you that payment will be taken - although when I spoke with my bank they said they are not allowed to do this. When I rang to ask for a refund I felt I was spoken to rather rudely and was told I would have to pay a £30 admin fee to get the money refunded back! Although I was then told that I would be 'let off' with this charge - as if I was supposed to be grateful? There was no courtesy call - even after having missed the previous 3 sessions - I know the swim teacher does a register each week so she would have known that we were not there. We did consider taking our little girl to Water Babies when she was a little older but have completely changed our minds now! and are left feeling very disappointed �

Would totally recommend Water Babies.. My oldest son has absolutely loved going, even carried on through water wobbles... We have now finished but will hopefully be able to come back with my youngest ÔøΩ.

Well worth the money, super teachers, they really go at your pace and make sure your babies are enjoying themselves whilst pushing you just the right amount. So glad I did the course with my little boy, he's been going for almost 2 years now and is really confident in water, as well as having a really good time at lessons.

We started Water Babies with our little man when he was just 12 weeks old. He is now 14 months old and has definitely become a water baby! We have just finished chapter 2. My little boy looks forward to getting in the pool every week. He loves learning new things each week, the songs, the smiles, the splashes. Water babies is fantastic. All the teachers we have had are great, Anna, Sadie, Leanne, Mandy and Sarah. My son has always loved it and three years on still does can't get him to come up for air..he thinks he's a fish. My daughters not so keen on going under the water, but both love the wobble wobble board.

Second load of classes and Hamilton is a true water baby, he loves every second in the water! Fantastic staff who understand the importance of learning and fun. Can't recommend enough!!

I cannot recommend water babies enough!! We have had nothing but support from the girls in the office, to the team teaching in the pool. They have been extremly flexible with us when our little boy was poorly. Our little boy loves these classes, he has grown in confidence and its not only in the water. We both look foward to our class each week! His swimming has improved leaps and bounds since he first started! I would highly recommend!

I can't recommend Water Babies highly enough. Buddy joined at 4 months old and has just started Chapter3. It's great seeing him learn and development, he's like a little fish and absolutely loves being in the water! ÔøΩ

Excellent course my little boy is just under 7 months old and has recently completed his beginner course. He is so confident in the water now and learnt so much during the course. It also gave me so much more confidence when in the pool with my baby and thought me what my baby can achieve if I'm not scared.

My son loves swimming with Water Babies. The teachers are fun and engaging and my son is always excited about going to see our teacher, Becks. He is almost two and a very confident swimmer, he can swim to the edge of the pool and climb out unaided which is a fantastic skill to have learnt.

My four year old is a better swimmer than his dad now because of water babies and now going with my baby, its a lovely way to spend time with him and we both have so much fun! Worth every penny

My daughter started swimming with Water Babies when she was around 7 months old and she 'graduated' with them when she was around 4 years old. It was an amazing experience for her and for me and we always enjoyed the classes; the instructors we had during that time were always friendly yet professional, and it was a joy to watch my daughter's love of swimming develop. My son started when he was around 7 months old as well and is about to finish his last term before he 'graduates' at the age of almost 4 years old. My son started off very reluctant to go underwater and would cry if he even thought he was going to be held by the instructor. Thanks to their patience and support he quickly moved passed this and now prefers to spend all of his time underwater and loves his instructor! Both of my kids love the water and swimming and are continuing their swimming lessons with 'big kid' classes. It has been a great experience overall and the skills that they have learned will be with them for the rest of their lives. Just over five years ago, I emailed Bryony to find out how I could become a teacher of my hands-down favourite baby activity - Water Babies! My first water baby, Rufus, is now nine years old, and swims lengths for an hour every Sunday, and his sister Betty isn't far behind him. And my third, Caspar, absolutely loves his weekly swim with Jane.

As well as the pleasure of seeing my own babies progress through Water Babies, I also love teaching. The Water Babies course is brilliant for carefully progressing babies from first splash to swimming properly, turning reflexes into learnt actions. It's a delight!

So from that first class with baby Rufus to now, Water Babies is a big part of my life!

I was so excited to hear all the rave reviews about waterbabies that I had my first daughters name on the waiting list before she was even born. The classes at Church Farm, near Bath didn't disappoint. The special uninterrupted bonding time we had was like no other, I loved the skin to skin contact, songs and I was totally in awe of my young baby kicking and swimming freely towards me. The way that she progressed through our waterbabies journey until she was nearly 4 was just amazing! Meanwhile I started waterbabies with my second baby and have only finished a few months ago. I can honestly say in that 6 year period every single lesson we went to was fun, professionally taught and each week felt that we were learning something new. The instructors put each little one at the centre of their planning and it always felt as though we had plenty of 1:1 attention. I am so grateful to that special time we had together and that my two girls have developed a life-long love of swimming and have brilliant safety skills around water. I know I will cherish these memories forever and continue to enjoy our special family time in the water. Now I am teaching my own classes it is a joy to pass on the magical world of waterbabies to others. I am sure you will feel the same.

Finley and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with waterbabies. He would always enter the water with a beaming smile and it was a great way for us to bond. Jackie was very patient, encouraging and supportive through a phase of the 'waterwobbles', and thought of creative ways to distract him from tears when needed! He is very confident in the water now. We also made a few good friends from the class. Thank you waterbabies.

Brilliant. Monty loves it, you can clearly see the development in his swimming and Mel has made some great friends in the group not to mention we've got great underwater pictures of Monty to keep.
