It will be another sunny day but we still need you all to stay at home.
These guidelines are not optional, despite the temptation of the sun. They are in place to protect, prevent & ultimately save lives.

From all of us here at Welling Police thank you to London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and the wider nhs.uk for everything! 💙

PC Robinson has been out on the push bike tasked with dispersing groups from the open spaces of #welling. Multiple people engaged with and moved on without the need for utilising my powers under the coronovirus legislation. I turned up second on scene to a incident at a petrol station whereby criminal damage had taken place and a female was arrested by Bexleyheath’s Emergency Response Team. Various minor things were addressed by me including one Male who was stopped and searched in East Wickham Open Space and found in possession of drugs. He has been dealt with on the street. #KeepingWellingSafe

PC Robinson has been out and about across welling visiting open spaces and parks and again on the whole everyone is sticking to the rules! However once again someone felt making a journey from East London to the borough to sit and use their phone was essential travel. Let’s be clear it isn’t! When this was pointed out a response of “well I’m on my own so it doesn’t matter” only gets you reported for the offence. #Welling

The weather is ☀️, summer is on the way so the natural thing is to head to one of #Welling’s parks? Yes I hear you say. However I would ask you to give East Wickham Open Space, Danson Park and Stevens Park a miss. As much as it’s tempting #StayHomeProtectTheNHSSaveLives

We have received a lot of questions about #Covid19. Here is Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Cundy talking about the role we all have to #StayhomeSaveLives.
They are not optional, they are instructions that aim to protect the NHS, save lives and prevent the spread of the virus.

PC Robinson has been out and about today. Most people are heeding the advice from the government however one Male who was advised and moved on yesterday for drinking on the side of the road decided to do the exact same today.
So because he couldn’t stay at home and help the NHS, PC Robinson has exercised his powers under the new coronavirus legislation and the Male has been reported for prosecution for contravening requirement as to restriction of movement during emergency period - Coronavirus.
Most people are doing their bit to #StayAtHomeAndSaveTheNHS we thank you for that. But for those who decide not to you are putting others at risk and if you don’t heed our warnings you can expect to be dealt with appropriately. #Welling

Whilst having a coffee at a popular Avery Hill petrol station. A gentleman approached PC Robinson rather nervously and told him that he was a ex serviceman who had been medically discharged and was about to miss his mums funeral because the leg he injured had given up on him. Almost in tears he said “I know you’re not a taxi service and I have never asked for anything but would you be able to get me to the crematorium?” For you sir I am only more than happy to oblige! I don’t think anyone with a heart could deny anyone the chance to say goodbye to someone they love! So I’m glad you came up to the van and thank you for your service! #welling

PC Robinson was out today instructing SE BCU’s Probationary Detective Constables on their coach patrol course. We decided to get and deliver some coffee to the hard working staff at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital A&E. The staff were drained but all very thankful and one commented to us that “it makes a change to see people coming in here and smiling, especially with so many tears” 💙

PC Robinson has been out and about on my pushbike today! I have covered over 40km! I have discovered a couple of people with some drugs.. and the majority of people I have spoke to are adhering to the new Social Distancing rules but I have asked a few people who were trying to get public transport to go home as their journey was far from necessary.

Thank you to the supermarkets of #Welling for throwing the doors open to the key workers of welling an hour early. If we are to help you in your time of need we need the fuel to make that happen! #covid19uk #ThankYou
