Last week BBC Essex radio presenters John Rose and Christine Penhall came to the Pie Shop. John donned an apron and joined in making pies with us while commentating on what he was doing. Meanwhile Christine was recording the the whole fiasco. Program goes out tomorrow, bank holiday Monday at 4.15 pm on BBC Radio Essex.

This weekend we are open till 6pm on Sunday and May Day Monday till 6pm. All other days as usual.

Our Easter OPENING times are: Good Friday 11am - 6pm Saturday 11am - 6pm Easter Sunday 11am - 6pm Easter Monday 11am - 6pm... We will remain open till 6pm through till next Sunday the 8th of April. We will open every Sunday now through the rest of the summer

We have been going here for 33 years this was a monthly treat back in the day when we had nothing we now live in Northampton and travel here for pie and mash highly recommend never changed in taste in all these years ...keep it up whites.xx

Visited the shop by chance today when in the town for a funeral. Took a take away and had it for my tea tonight. It was fab, normally when I get a take away from different shops it doesn't always taste the same reheated but this was lovely, just wish I had eaten in the shop as I'm sure it would have been even better

Pure heaven. Great service and the food is top draw and worth the drive just to eat the Pie & Mash.... get down and spend the day in Walton on the Naze and pop into Whites for Lunch

Lovely grub!!! one of the best. Can’t walk past the place everytime we are down there. Just as good as Manes in Walthamstow and Chapel Street market. Was going there 60 years ago.
