Woodbine Greycen is a delightful 3 year old female. Her fine fleece stats have remained stable over the three years (22micron). She has The Chief of Bozedown (dark grey) and Salvador of Houghton (mid grey) in her pedigree. Her sire is prize winning East Anglia Atom (mid grey). She is halter trained and has been in the show ring three times as a junior and received a rosette each time.... It's been some time since we have posted but we have been busy with birthing and the Eastern alpaca group fleece show. Here are some photos of our latest cria.The brown cria had to have a plasma trasfution by our vet and she then went to cambridge vet school to be treeted for high sodium levels, she is now back and doing well.Jasper is our new grey cria and our fawn female is Juniper. We have had 10 cria so far... with 9 to go, will post more photos when they arive.

We are off to Cambridge University again tomorrow to give a power point presentation to the zoological society of trainiee vets. Taking 4 alpacas and a cria with us for the vets to get some hands on experience.

Just got back from our 3500 mile round trip holiday driving though France to Ronda in Spain and back, had a great time but we are glad to be back to picking poo and doing AD&E injections! just like we had never been away!! Thanks to Kirsty Wilde for looking after the herd and our house for the first 2 weeks and my daughter the last week, good to know the farm was in safe hands. Just had to include an alpaca photo!! with te pic's of the gorge at Ronda, a street in Altea and this Spanish horse being traind inthe royal stables in Cordoba.

The 1st Eastern Alpaca Group Fleece Show was held last weekend and we where very pleased with our 3 x 1st places and our 4 x 3rd places. Woodbine Foxy Lady, Woodbine Digby and Morden Hall Endor got 1st places, Woodbine Granger, Woodbine Fortuna, Woodbine Georgia and Woodbine Torbole got 4th places.7 out of 8 fleeces entered got rossetes very ,very pleased with the result.

We have been very busy with outside events these past weeks and now we are busy with birthing, 5 on the ground already with another 4 due this month, 8 due in July, 7 due in August and 1 in September and in the middle of all this we have our Open Day on the 14th of August. Our Retirement has been busy and very rewarding, our alpacas never stop giving us so much pleasure

Our first cria of 26 due this year, a brown boy, needed a little help with one of his legs. Mom and baby doing well, he was strong enough to get to the top of the mound in the paddock.

Second day of the spring fiesta alpaca show and more rosettes - second for our lovely Harmony, second for our new fawn stud Nimbus that we share with Butlers Farm. Today we are delighted to get a third place for Harlequin and a fifth place for High Society who has just been sold. Congratulations to the new owners. One more alpaca, Woodbine Phantom, to go in who is owned by one of our clients.
