Let's Get Creative Woodbridge

Hello from the Mayor of Woodbridge , Clare Perkins.

My theme this year is all about the Creative Arts in and around Woodbridge and how therapeutic it can be when needed.

Welcome to the first showcase market of creative talents and skills.

What I hope to achieve with this project is to show how creative skills can help someone who is finding life difficult , fighting depression or a life changing moment such as a bereavement.

Doing something creative is a great healer for all sorts of troubles .

A Designer / Dressmaker / Artist myself , I know the therapeutic benefit of doing a creative activity gives .

I would like to showcase all Creative Arts from :

Whittlers & Knitters, Sewers and Patchworkers, Spinners & Weavers, Painters & Cooks , Photographers & Filmmakers, Musicians and Dancers, plus many more Creative Artistes .

To make them available to everyone who would like to try out a new skill. A lot of these are old fashioned skills that need to be seen more and inspire others to take it up .

This will :

1. Showcase creators and makers talents

2. To provide fulfilment through Creative Art Therapeutic Workshops at an agreed venue.


We will be setting dates to showcase your skills throughout the year either in The Shire Hall or in a venue of your choice .

I am looking for participants in the creative world to showcase their skills and also become workshop holders and I wondered if this was of interest to you ?

The next showcase / market will be on August 19th and then we have a Christmas one on November 25th . Both to be in the Shire Hall , Woodbridge.
