It’s with great regret we inform you that Chris Harvey has decided to leave the hot seat at Weston Road for a managerial role at Totternhoe FC in the South Midlands League. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for all his efforts and wish him well in his future endeavour.
We will keep you informed with news on his replacement in due course.

A battling 1-1 draw away at Cranfield ended Blue Cross’s 2018-19 Premier League campaign. At present their league position is 3rd though with the teams below them having played between 3-6 games less (due to poor pitches) it is highly probable Blues will finish in 7th, which considering their issues with trying to field a starting 11 at times is a superb achievement. Thanks to all of you who came down to Weston Park to cheer on the boys and I will keep you all posted with pre-season dates etc when the time comes. Have a great Summer folks.

Blues have the opportunity this afternoon to get themselves back into 3rd place in the Premier League when they face Stevington at Weston Park with a 14:30 kick off. Bar open at 12 as usual and will be showing 3 FA Cup matches featuring the lunchtime game from Sky between Watford v Crystal Palace and will also be showing an early evening kick off between Swansea (should have been Brentford) v Manchester City and the evening kick off between Wolves and Manchester United.

A hard fought 2-1 win at home to Riseley Sports coupled with Crawley Green losing helped Blue Cross to consolidate their grip of 3rd place in the Beds County Premier League.
With all the clubs below having games in hand it was vital for Blues to win their own game and goals from Makudzeyi Makuza and Jamie Sawyer ensured all 3 points stayed at Weston Park.
Next up for Blues is a mere trifle...away to the runaway League leaders Shefford Town & Campton on the 9th March with a 14:30 kick off.

Apologies for not keeping this page up to date folks, I have been struggling with ill health and have been in and out of hospital due to the illness.
I am hoping to push this page once I am better and am hoping to really keep on top of things in time for next season. Please bear with me on this. Thank you. Frank.
By the way, a 2-1 win over Queens Park Crescents on Saturday pushed Blues back up to 3rd in the table though most of the chasing clubs have games in hand on us.... Next up for Blues is a home game against Riseley Sports with a 14:30 kick off. Bar open at 12 and is showing the 12:30 Burnley v Spurs game.

A 2-2 draw away to Flitwick saw Blue Cross begin 2019 on a more positive note than 2018 had ended. Next up for Blues, are 3 January games on the spin at Weston Park, with Flitwick being the visitors on the 12th, AFC Kempston Town/Bedford College on the 19th and our ‘away’ game against our tenants Marston on the 26th. Bar open as usual around 12 and will be showing live Premier League football with West Ham v Arsenal and Arsenal v Chelsea being the stand out games. Come on down and support your local team.

Blues ended 2018 with a disappointing 0-4 loss at home to Cranfield United. Next up is a road trip when we travel down to Flitwick Community Football Centre with a 14:00 kick off. Planning on travelling? Amptill Road MK45 1BA.

Last seasons opener saw Blues demolish Ickwell & Old Warden 8-3, and they came really close to repeating that feat this Saturday when they won 6-3. Goals from Anthony Wright, Cameron Brooks, Lui Sarrington and an Adam Mead hat-trick lifted Blues to 3rd in the table, in a game which saw the visitors resort to niggly tactics and where Blues let their football do the talking. Next up for Blue Cross is an away trip to Allen Park where they take on Queens Park Crescents, ironically the team they also beat 8-3, in their second game of last season...another chance for history to repeat itself?

After last weekends 4-2 win over Oakley, Blues are looking to maintain pressure on the top 4 with another home game this Saturday against Ickwell and Old Warden. Last years fixture ended with a thumping 8-3 win for Blues, so hopefully a repeat performance will be welcome. Bar opens at 12 and will be showing all 3 live Premier League games on the day.

Football finally returns to Weston Park tomorrow when Blues take on Caldecote with a 14:00 kick off. With just 2 defeats in 8 games (one of which was on penalties in the Senior Trophy) Blues are in a fine run of form and hope to continue that tomorrow. Hope to see you there.

A solitary strike from Pete McDonald wasn’t enough to prevent Blue Cross slipping to a 2-1 defeat away to Oakley last weekend. That defeat leaves Blues in 9th place and with a battle on their hands to catch up with the leading pack. Old rivalries renewed this coming Saturday when we face Crawley Green Reserves in the Beds Senior Cup. With players from both sides having crossed to each other in the recent past bragging rights are very much up for grabs in what will be a keenly contested match.
Kick off at the earlier time of 14:00 and anyone wanting to go to the game: Crawley Green Road, Luton, Bedfordshire LU2 9AG.

Last weekend a 2-1 win for Blue Cross away to Ickwell via Scott Harvey and Chris Butler strikes propelled Blue Cross up to 7th within 3 points of the top 3.
Another trip beckons this Saturdays as we travel to Oakley with a 14:30 kick off.

A superb 2nd half comeback saw Blue Cross claw back a 2-0 deficit to earn themselves a 2-2 draw. With a bit more luck they could and probably should have won the game as it was one way traffic in the last half an hour.
With the game being the 3rd of the day in the annual Beds FA Groundhop a very healthy crowd were in attendance and they were treated to a superb game of football, played in the rich spirit which showed the best of Non League football. Hopefully next home game many of those will want to return for more.

User

Come on folks, next week is Non League Day in the football calendar. Wootton Blue Cross are hosting their tenants Marston Shelton Rovers with a 16:45 kick off, in the most local of football derbies, in the 3rd game of the annual Beds FA ground-hop. A bumper crowd is expected so bring the family or next door neighbour down and enjoy the best of football. With no Premier League or Championship football, what better way to get your weekend footy fix?

Goals from Pete McDonald, Scott Ross and Chris Butler helped Blue Cross to a 3-0 win at Caldecote in the 2nd round of the Beds FA Senior Cup. Our 3rd round tie has already been arranged and takes us to our bitter rivals Crawley Green Reserves on the 2nd November.
Up next in the league for the Blues is a home tie next Saturday 6th October against Sharnbrook with a 14:30 kick off.

Saturdays game is away to Caldecote in the Beds FA Senior Cup. If you’re interested in going the address is 20 Harvey Cl, Upper Caldecote, Biggleswade, SG18 9BQ.

Blue Cross return to action on their Weston Park pitch in just over 2 weeks time, but away games to Stevington, at Pavenham Playing Fields, tomorrow with a kick off time of 14:30 and Caldecote on the 29th in the Beds FA Senior Cup, kick off 15:00, have to be negotiated first. Come on you Blues.
