We will be having our usual guided tour on Friday this week (2nd June) and Wednesday next week (7th June). It is still the usual pattern of first Friday and first Wednesday of the month but having the 1st on a Thursday throws it out of kilter a bit. Do have a look at www.WymondhamWalksandTalks.co.uk for more information. We have a wet weather option in place but hope not to have to use it!

This Friday - 2nd September - will be the guided tour round Wymondham - 11.00 meet at the Cross. £5 per head - just turn up if you like, or let me know beforehand so we know you are coming. Next week on Wednesday 7th Sept will be the last chance this year before we hibernate. I will still be busy with the Live History though. Bookings coming in thick and fast for 2017.

Last week I did Lucilla Reeve at Rickinghall and Elizabeth Fry at Sudbury. Next week Lucilla will be at Thetford Historical society on Tuesday and at the Mid Norfolk Railway at War 1940s event. Also don't forget that this is the first week of the month and the Wymondham Walks and Talks will be on Wednesday 3rd Aug 11.15 from Wymondham Abbey Halt and Friday 5th 11.00 from Wymondham Market Cross.

This Tuesday 19th July 9.00p.m. BBC4 there is a programme about how the manuscript of Julian of Norwich's book was "lost and found". Margery Kemp's book was also lost for many years and found in the 20th Century.

Busy week - I have done Edith Cavell this morning for a local school and will be doing her again on Thursday for Wymondham U3A. On Wednesday it will be the scheduled walk for the first Wednesday in the month - 11.15 from Abbey Halt station. The walk lasts about two hours and cost's £5. 10% of that will go to the Mid Norfolk Railway for those that come on the train.

Tomorrow is the 1st July and also the first Friday of the month - so Wymondham Walks and Talks will be having the scheduled walk starting at the Market Cross at 11.00. Looks like the weather will be OK! Next week will be the first Wednesday of the month 11.15 from the Abbey Halt Station.

I have two phone calls today for bookings for Edith Cavell. One for a local school in a few weeks time and one for a pensioners group in October.
