Bunny Teeth 😁
Unlike human teeth, Rabbit teeth are 'open rooted' which means they are constantly growing! This is why a high fibre diet, that is tough to eat,is so important to help wear the teeth to help maintain normal shape.
Ideally Rabbits should eat 80-90% hay and grass and the rest to be made up with a Rabbit pellet food and greens. Diets that have inadequite hay, and too much fruit, veg and meusli mixes will not wear the teeth down. This meaning they will overgrow and cause problems for your bunny in the future.

If you are not planning on breeding your Rabbit, then neutering could increase their lifespan! not only does neutering eliminate the risk of unwanted pregnancies, but will reduce the risk of false or pseudopregnancies. False pregnancies can result in the doe exhibiting undesireable behaviours such as nesting and digging. Entire unneutered Rabbits are more likely to spray urine and can become territorial. More importantly neutering can help them from devaloping cancer. If you ...are planning on neutering your Rabbit here are a few tips on ensuring this is a smooth process:
1. Unlike cats and dogs Rabbits dont need to be starved before the operation. They cannot vommit so there is minimal risk of aspiration of food into thier lungs during anesthesia. In fact it is more dangerous in Rabbits to starve them as it will increase the risk of stasis.
2. Do not change your Rabbit diet
3. Bring a selection of their normal food and treats to help the eat after surgery, like a packed lunch!
4. If your Rabbit has a bonded companion bring them along to consulatations nd the surgery, to minimise the stress caused by serpeating them.

The ADAPTIL Junior collar is clinically proven to help reduce night time disturbances. If your puppy cries, wait to see if they settle instead of going to pet them. Otherwise your puppy could learn the wrong lesson; such as crying will get them cuddles!

Hello,
My name is Steve, a week ago I was living underneath a Caravan on Canvey Island. I was very itchy with fleas and little bugs that kept on nibbling at me. I had nobody to go to, and no place to call home.
Then suddenly a very special someone decided to help me, and brought me here, to Yourvets Rayleigh. I have been very spoilt here with lots of dreamies and delicious treats. The nurses all give me cuddles and tell me I'm handsome. Sadly I had to say goodbye to all my ...furr, but I got these cool little boots on and a jumper! besides it will all grow back, and its a small price to pay for a lifetime of love.
Im told I now have a home! which is very exciting because I've never had one of these before, but I've been told I'll get cuddles and treats all the time, and it sounds pretty good to me.
Its a tough world out there, take it from me.
So remember...
Be kind, and look after each other.
Love Steve

Meet Frankie! Our April star of the month! Frankie spent some time with us and became like part of the family. After eating part of a tennis ball which lead to further complications, and then wasn't eating, a nasogastric feeding tube was placed to syringe feed him. Frankie was slowly recovering and finally managed to eat on his own and is now enjoying life back at home!
