I do love meditating! It is a bit like clearing the computer from the, over time accumulated unnecessary, information. The program runs faster and more efficient afterwards! Every time!

Choice is one of the most empowering word that I know. Our neighbour's black dog didn't have much choice. He was tight to a long wire with a chain. And he could only run up and down along the wire. It was a very sad life to watch, as a child, from my bedroom window. He taught me a great deal about life and about choices. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time! And now it is happening! A new law has come into force that makes psychological domestic abuse and controlling behaviour a crime. Hurray! But what is psychological abuse exactly? Emotional abuse occurs when one person—intentionally or otherwise, consciously or unconsciously—engages in behavior that insults, threatens, rejects, neglects, blames, manipulates, isolates, degrades, punishes, humiliates, or exerts control over another. Christmas is over and so is the New Year. All the excitement (for some) is over. This time of the year is perfect for reflecting on our journey. This is a blog about the concept of "fear setting" that has changed my life on many levels, literally, overnight.

"If you feel lonely and isolated at this time of year or struggle with grief, I understand how difficult it can be. My advice, would be to try your best to find someone to talk to about the way you feel, whether it is a close friend, a work colleague, a healthcare professional, or even the barista at your local cafe. Simply talking about the way that you are feeling and not keeping things bottled up inside is always helpful. If you don’t feel you have access to anyone, I woul...d recommend that you try your best to do something in a group that helps others. For example, why not volunteer to help at a homeless shelter or food bank, or consider volunteering at your local park run. When we do things in service of others, it really does have an instant impact on the way we feel about ourselves and the world around us.

Looking after our mental health is always important, but at this time of year is can be of critical importance. Our minds are simply not designed for the modern world. The incredible pace of human civilisation has far exceeded our brain’s ability to cope and this is one of the reasons that many of us struggle with anxiety, depression, fatigue and a lack of purpose." If you know me you understand my passion for the benefit of play. The kind of play that gets you in the flow , the kind of play that makes you laugh so hard that you almost wet yourself, the kind of play that makes hours seem like minutes, the kind of play that connects you with others in a deep level etc. This looks like an interesting exhibition on the subject. https://www.artfund.org/…/e…/2019/10/ 24/play-well-exhibition
