101 Theatre Support Battalion Reme Description
REME is responsible for fixing all the Army’s kit including; weapons, trucks, tanks and helicopters. In order to do this around the world, REME tradesmen are trained to the highest level as both soldiers and technicians gaining civilian qualifications in the process. As a REME soldier you will develop leadership and management skills that will also compliment your civilian career.
Opportunities
•Trades: Vehicle Mechanics, Recovery Mechanics, Metalsmiths, Armourers, HR Specialists, Chefs, Technical stores specialist.
•Travel: Canada, Cyprus, Kenya, Belize, Brunei, Austria, Germany.
•Qualifications: e. g. NVQ’s, City & Guilds, Modern Apprentice scheme.
•Extra money: Bonuses paid on completion of each phase of training and yearly bounty.
•Challenge yourself: Mentally and Physically.

127 Coy - Preston Military Show
The weather was not with us, however that did not effect the enthusiasm of Sgt Lancashire, Cpl Russell and Cpl Greenhalgh during a community engagement event at Fulwood barracks.
Thank you for all your efforts and a big thank you to the REME Corps Engagement Team who travelled from Lyneham to help with the event.
127 TS Coy Ex ARMY CRAFTSMAN ACT
127 TS Coy has recently deployed on its first of three planned ACT’s for the training year. This ACT allowed 21 soldiers from the Coy to deploy in support of 5 Bn REME on two specific exercises:
1. Ex ARMY CRAFTSMAN - The Coy was tasked to provide a stand alone CP at Nesscliffe Training Area to control and support all stands and exercising troops from both the reserve and regular phase of Ex ARMY CRAFTSMAN. A perfect opportunity to test the... SNCO’s within the Coy.
2. Ex URBAN DRAGON - 5 Bn’s concurrent deployment of its OPR capability allowed more junior members of the Coy to gain a great deal of trade experience repairing power-packs.

127 and 159 Coy recently completed the second FIELD weekend of the training year. The facilities at Nesscliffe training area gave both Coy’s the opportunity to refresh and confirm core military skills from the Battle-craft syllabus.
