Market trip last night 🥩❤️

Went on Valentines evening. The food was lovely, service very good and beautiful surroundings, also great live music. Will definitely be returning.

We always have a great meal here. The staff are all so friendly, highly recommend�xx

This was a random stop and so glad I did ... I had crab which was lovely. A pint to follow which went down very well. Decided to sit outside in the sun and let food and drink go down before setting off again.

I will and can't wait to go back for an evening. �

Lovely atmosphere, great staff. My youngest daughter is gluten free and they managed to offer her multiple meal options whereas other restaurants tend to have a very basic gluten free range. Will come again.

Incredible food, great friendly service. Lovely meal for Mother's Day with a free glass of bubbles too! We have already recommended to our friends, this is no longer pub food, but a restaurant in a pub!

Have eaten here a number of times now food and staff excellent really should have taken the time to comment before. Definitely recommend Nick & Sheila

Celebrated our daughters 6th Birthday here this evening and I have to say the service we received by Will & Katie Tonight was amazing, they really made our daughter feel special. The food was fantastic aswell!! Thank you very much for a lovely evening... Highly recommended

As ever ANOTHER wonderful meal yesterday! There is nothing I can fault about this restaurant, the staff are friendly, the service impeccable and the food simply delicious!

The meal was very tasty, and they were reasonably accommodating, although the waitress' grasp of English wasn't great, which made it a bit tricky to communicate what we wanted and the atmosphere was quite quiet... But overall it was good, and we'll definitely go again.

Had lunch with partner. Lovely cold wine, amazing garlic bread, crab linguine was ok, tasted of crab but no crabmeat. Delicious perfitaroles. Good service, a bit quick to clear and not cheap if you're just after an impromptu lunch out.

Firstly, let me start by saying I never, ever write reviews! I also don't really like to read them, as everyone has different expectations/opinions & agenda's! But my visit last night has prompted me to...



Sadly, It seems normally people only feel the need to write a review to complain online, or you feel sceptical they have been swayed, & the very mixed reviews on here didn't ease my decision to go! But it is a local establishment, & I thought I'd try it once, it cant be that bad!?! Well, I was surprised...



I've driven past this place as it was being re-done many times, but sad to say, always stick to known corporate establishments. I have been greatly missing out & wasted my time driving distance to them...



A few points I picked up on from the reviews (I went there with pre-conceptions!)



The decor, beautiful. Very warm & homely.

The service. Yes, they can seem a little slow & understaffed but I don't actually think they are. We as British people are all too used to having everything NOW. The number of waiter's/waitresses on hand was actually a nice refreshing change to having far too many hanging off you, working on tips. & AUTHENTIC too!

The price, fantastic! Prices have been steadily rising over the years, but this place does quality food @ a good price!

The portions, full! I don't know about the previous reviews, but I'm 6'3 & built. I like a good meal. The Pizza was hand made & decent in size, the Risotto was very filling & very tasty!

The Menu. Was varied with lots of scope. I normally stick to the same pizza every time, but that menu makes me want to try everything! The day time bar menu is definitely going to be tested!



I've never run restaurant, & never want to! It must be terribly difficult, but these guys are doing a great job!



I'll definitely be back. Support what a family run business are doing just down the road in Sussex. In fact, every one else can go to the more mainstream establishments, it means I'll always be able to get a table!

Very disappointing. Lack of atmosphere. Slow service. To top it off the poor young waitress was sent over to our table as we were eating our starters, to tell me that they didn't have the fish that I had ordered nearly half an hour earlier. The pasta that I had to replace it was bland and tasteless. Still wondering who got my dinner.
