That's a wrap on 2018!
We would like to say a HUGE thank you for making this year's festival so memorable.
It was a weekend blessed with warm weather (what was going on there?), friendly people and amazing music.
... It is so amazing to see our little festival form into a place where each artist is worthy of being a headliner and every attendee has non-stop fun (excluding the odd hangover!) joined up by a feeling of togetherness.
We took onboard the fantastic feedback from last year and hope that we applied this to perfection - more caterers and more toilets!
There are too many highlights to pick out but we'd love to hear what yours were below - whether it was a band you saw or an experience in general.
News on 2019 coming very soon.
Once again, THANK YOU!
Love
Michael, Max, Andrew, Joe & Sophie (+ our amazing team - you know who you are!)

brilliant festival! had an amazing time despite the down pours on Saturday! wouldn't be a festival without mud!! great music, fantastic atmosphere! lovely time with great friends old & new! There were a few things that could do with addressing for next year but didn't stop us from having a great time!!!

User

absolutely brilliant little festival. well organised, friendly staff, reasonable food and drink prices. the atmosphere throughout the weekend was great, the stages worked very well despite their size and the music was just amazing.

User

Well what a weekend. My first ever music festival and I had the fear of driving down from glasgow but what a perfect weekend. We stayed in the bell tents and I loved every minute of it. WILL DEFINETLY BE GOING NEXT YEAR

User

We just got back from a awesome weekend away at 110 Above! Amazing atmosphere and brilliantly organised in a beautiful rural location filled with hay bales, teepees and a fallen tree haha!! The site was kept very clean throughout, staff were very friendly and helpful and there was plenty to offer in terms of food and drink. We went to down to watch Hudson Taylor but found some really cool bands including Clean cut Kid, black honey, Dance a la Plage...

Throughly enjoyed our time away from reality in this superb location at this fantastic festival!! WE WILL BE BACK!!

hudson Taylor played the best set I have ever seen live so thank you for giving us an experience I'll never forget!!

User

We had a wonderful time at 110 Above , kept its amazing wholesome vibe and was such a great place to enjoy some of the best indie bands around. Only downside, which isn’t something I would give fewer stars for because everything else at the festival is absolutely spot on, is that the vegetarian and vegan food options were fairly limited, especially at breakfast time, by Sunday morning the only options were a fried egg bap or porridge from the coffee stall. It was easy enough to make do until the rest of the food places opened but I hope next year there is a little more choice on breakfast !

User

Such a lovely festival, super intimate, great atmosphere and everyone is so friendly.

User

One of the best independent festivals around, a must watch for the future. Dedicated to the music and creating a brilliant atmosphere, definitely coming back!

User

Lovely small fun festival for everyone and prices inclusive for all.

Brilliant bands, and we could watch everything we wanted as alternating stages.

Nice camping/ caravan fields. Clean and tidy and was great to see people respecting the countryside and using the bins. Loved the 110 above £3 reusable cup idea .

Friendly and helpful security/ voluntary staff.

Good food vendors but long queues.

Would be nice to have grass areas to sit and watch afternoon bands if weather good as lots of standing .

Thanks and we will be back next year

User

Love this music festival because

1. Friendly chilled atmosphere

2. Has an intimate vibe with the most talented up to date artists

3. Organised very well in a beautiful setting

4. It's difficult to choose your favourite artist of the event because they all so brilliant .. A true musical feast to be experienced !

User

Laid out with exhaustion from a whirlwind weekend of chilly nights and warm glowing lights.

Looking to a friend in the crowd during the Eliza and the bear set and asking what this overwhelming feeling is that I have, bouncing and dancing about, she smiles and in one word reminds me that that pure feeling was “joy”!

How fast the weekend flew by, like most sets, that anticipation of a good time that ends far too quickly!

Exuberance found and devoted to some of the undeniable talent at 110 above!

Run and executed in a swimmingly smooth fashion! Looking forward to seeing next years line-up!

User

It's an amazing festival, I loved every minute of it. There was only one slight "problem " the queues for food and the choice of food. But if I'm being honest I don't think anyone cared too much about it as it did have a massive impact. All the bands that played were great and when they mingled with everyone they were friendly. A few bands didn't turn up but the festival put on some alternatives and they didn't disappoint. There was great music and a great atmosphere. We will be back!!

Also security and voluntary staff were all friendly and help you however they could.

User

Great festival in great surroundings. This was my third year at 110 Above (formerly Lainfest), and have had an amazing time and discovered some great music along the way. Looking forward to what the organisers pull out the bag next year...

User

Fantastic Festival! Great Music, Great Location and Lovely People, really Friendly Atmosphere. We took our little boy for his first festival and it was a great choice. Thanks to the Lain Family and all the organisers, it ran like clockwork and hopefully they will be able to keep doing it as it was under-attended for such an amazing lineup. Only issue we had was that 'quiet camping' was only quiet from 2am after the music had finished in the arena, other than that, pretty much perfect.

User

Been for the last 3 years in a row and it doesnt dissapoint, just gets bigger and better. Organiser Michael is on the ball, line up is varied and really good. Nice utilities, clean campsite, good atmosphere. Booking my early bird tickets asap .

User

Back from our second year at 110 Above and it didn’t disappoint. Great lineup, excellent bars (although we ran them out of pink gin on Sunday ), food stalls superb, loved the varied choices of acts - acoustic sets in Gopsall Inn were great. The whole vibe is chilled, so friendly and hard to get across to anyone who’s not been - the site layout, cleanliness, attention to detail everywhere is spot on.

Highlights for me - Circa Waves never disappoint, comedy hour both days are essential, spending Sunday evening in the company of Blaenavon, Marika Hackman and then bouncing in the mosh pit to Peace. We then strolled down to Gopsall Inn not wanting our weekend to finish and found ourselves in the biggest party dancing to Patawawa!

Hats off and huge thanks to the organisers for another great festival- see you next year!

As someone who suffers from an empire of health conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma and generalised anxiety disorder, I was extremely apprehensive to attend my very first festival with you at 110 above as a gift for my 30th birthday! I didn't need to be! I had the best time and can't wait for next year.

Food was great, perhaps another stall for choice next time. Bands were amazing and interacted well with the audience. I especially enjoyed partying the night away to the best DJ set I've heard in years on Saturday night, my feet are still sore!

The security were phenomenal, they were friendly, efficient, hilarious and made me feel incredibly safe so far away from home.

Having them walk around the camp site after hours made sure I slept in comfort with the knowledge that security was of paramount importance.

A special thanks to Kris, Amy, Guy and Inshella for the never ending humour over the weekend. Another special mention to Holly and Max for coming to my aid on arrival when I had a little asthma/anxiety melt down. Subsided as soon as it started

Thanks so much to everyone involved at 110 above for making my first experience so special and we can't wait to see you next year! I hope to see some familiar faces, Dani xx

User

Arrived with no expectations and left wishing the weekend would never end. A really special festival with an amazing atmosphere. Don't miss it.

User

Another year at 110 Above now come and gone and time to reflect on how much it has progressed over the years we have attended whilst not losing any of those intimate friendly and chilled qualities that keep us returning every year. It was pretty much unrecognisable from previous years (apart from those big letters, painted caravans and the big tipi) and my first thought was how much investment of time, cash and love has been put into creating such a magical environment. Surely now perfectly set up to develop even more (whilst not losing that intimacy) for years to come hopefully. The 3 new stages proved invaluably weather proof on the Saturday and the sound quality was spectacular particularly in the Old Town Hall. As usual the choice of bands couldn't have better if I had handpicked them myself - in fact better because it meant I discovered some new favourites! Some minor tweak suggestions for next year - the lighting on the main stage could maybe bit a little bit brighter, another food stall maybe as queues were sometimes a bit long (preferably one serving sausage sandwiches for breakfast ), maybe a few more benches or hay bales dotted around. But can only congratulate everyone involved in creating, managing and running the festival as it ran like a dream - just went too quickly. Surely must be a worthy nominee for Small Festival of the Year (winner for me).

User

2018 was my first visit but I'm sure it won't be my last. In terms of the bill 110 above kicks so far above its weight its untrue. As always at a good Festival you discover a few acts you hadn't really heard of before but not normally this many. Thanks to everyone involved for a really well organised Festival with so much talent on show. Roll on 2019!! The headliners were really great but can we have Maisie Peters, Keir, Sea Girls Emily Lockett and Anteros back please (among plenty of others)!!
