Today cadets from both 1207 (Maldon) and 295 (Witham & Rivenhall) Squadrons have enjoyed a joint Clay Shotgun Shoot at Stow Maries. The shoot was run by CPSA qualified instructors. Their one to one tuition lead to varying results! #1207sqn #Maldon #ClayShoot #WhatWeDo

Its been another busy weekend for our Cadets. On Friday's parade night we had a visit from the South Woodham Ferrers Coastguard Rescue Team. The crew showed us how their rescue equipment works and explained the responsibilities they have at incidents. During Friday's parade night we were proud to see our six latest cadets be fully enrolled into the Squadron and the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. At the end of the parade we saw a number of classifications awarded, cadet of the month awards and the promotion of Cadet Corporal Smallcombe, well done team! Today a number of our Cadets and Staff attended the North Sector ATC Sunday Parade held in Halstead. We joined with other Squadrons from across North Essex which meant over 100 cadets were on parade. Our cadets were out supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal over the weekend in Maldon High Street. Did you see us? Last week the Squadron held a successful recruitment event seeing six new cadets join Hawk Flight. Cadet Jacob Clark and Cadet Abigail Keys gave speeches providing an insight into their lives as cadets on the Squadron. On final parade numerous presentations were made by the Commanding Officer. Tonight our cadets took part in Restart A Heart Day 2018 in Colchester alongside 308 Squadron. The aim of the day was to get 500,000 people across the UK to take part in CPR training, learning life saving skills.

Today was the second outing for our new minibus known as #BensBus in memory of Sgt Ben Peachey. Our Cadets traveled to United States Air Force Mildenhall in Suffolk followed by Earls Colne Airfield. Today we’ve had thirty cadets from Maldon, Braintree and Witham Squadrons take part in a Shotgun Shooting Experience at Stow Maries Aerodrome. Cadet Tom Stebbens again came away with the top score for 1207 - well done!
