It is with huge sadness that we are announcing that 132 The Eatery, will close its doors on Friday 24th August at 3pm.
This decision has been one of the hardest we have ever had to make. We truly love the business and feel we have created something very special in Darwen.
To our loyal customers, we want to say a massive, massive ‘THANK YOU’. We have loved seeing you, looking after you and having a good old chat. ... To those new customers that have often said ‘I didn’t know you were here, we love it!’ - Thank you... sorry you didn’t find us sooner.
The fact is, I’m a mummy to a little boy that I miss spending time with. I miss out on birthday parties, family days and time is going by too quickly. Recent events have really made me rethink about how important and precious our time is. When I hear ‘Mummy, you’re always working’ my heart breaks. Between that heart break and trying to keep a business running to my best ability has been extremely difficult. I have been mummy to more than just my boy, the business has also been my baby.
To those of you that have visited, you will know how much pride we put into everything. When I read back on the reviews, it makes us beam with pride. (You alway get the odd one) but 99.9% of feedback is fantastic.
We could go on forever, but the decision has been made (with lots of tears- trust me 😭😭) and there’s no turning back. We haven’t said anything sooner, as it’s been such a difficult decision and we wanted to keep things positive, not to discuss the ‘whys’ and so on, as I would have just been crying all day and no one wants a emotional wreck of a waitress 😥
Massive, massive hugs to all of you beautiful customers and friends that have shared this time with us. Big, big shout out to the lovely and loyal Nic, Chloe, Amanda and Carly, you will be in our hearts forever.
If you can, come and say goodbye. We want this last week to end on a positive and close that door for the final time, smiling and content in the knowledge that we have brought something special to a great town with fantastic people!
