Today cadets from 1387 Liskeard Squadron represented Plymouth and Cornwall wing at the Inter-wing athletics competition. They went away and performed their very best and should all be very proud. With the hard work and determination alongside the rest of the Wing team, they were the overall winners of the competition.
A massive well done to all that took part!

After a warm walking day yesterday along the Tarka Trail and a good nights sleep, the DofE team are on their way for day 2. RMB Chivenor in the background was the teams campsite for the night.

Corporals Quiz Night, it’s the last night at the squadron, apart from the Christmas Dinner and then we break up until the New Year. Who will the winners be?

Another weekend of sport for our very own Cpl Robison. She has represented our Sqn, Wing and Region, well done.

User

Although this is an achievement by the whole Wing, 1387 Sqn cadets and staff have been a big part in this success.
DofE is available to all cadets in Year 9 and above. Email depdofe.pcw@aircadets.org for more details. Pre DofE available at Sqn for those cadets not yet eligible

Today we visited our local Co-op in Liskeard to tell Co-op members about what their 1% contribution will go towards if they select us as their local cause. If you want to know more, use the link below to see what we are fundraising for and also sign up to receive your own membership benefits. We also had cake.

A week late but here are selection of photos taken by our squadron photographer Cpl Jones. She has captured our cadets, staff and committee members while bag packing and fundraising for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Just a quick update. Cadets and staff from 1387 Sqn have made it to Germany for their summer camp. One of our cadets has joined the 2171 Sqn DofE practice expedition and is now camped resting for tomorrow’s walk.

User

The summer has barely begun but some of our cadets have already been on summer camp to RAF Benson home of the Puma and Chinook OCU where they can get up close to working RAF helicopters and even experience a flight in the RAF’s primary pilot trainer, the Grob Tutor. FS Ransley-Miles also attended an oversees camp to Germany where he stayed with the USAF at their base in Ramstein.

Congratulations to Sgt Price and Cpl Hibbin who have completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s award expedition. The pair joined one of two teams from Plymouth & Cornwall Wing Air Cadets and walked 4 days over the Pennine Way through Teesdale and the Yorkshire Dales. That’s the hard part complete, once all five sections of their award is finished they will be invited to the palace to receive their certificates. Keep it going boys.

A cadet always looks smarter with a regulation haircut.
