What do children get from Scouting? 🤔

As a Leader we often require help from our Scouts for something, sometimes it’s a fun task, sometimes a little mundane. The fun though is in the gamble 😆

Then number of skills are many, but the Young People are willing 😆

So we were thinking of having the campfire now the clouds have cleared. Unfortunately the fire we set up in the centre last night is now surrounded by water 😂

What a difference 24hrs makes. One minute it’s blue sky’s and a light breeze, next minute its torrential rain, 38mph winds and flooding! Fortunately our Scout leaders are paragons of Be Prepared! Meaning the Scouts are having an awesome time and non the wiser 💁‍♂️ #beprepared @ Ashworth Valley Scout Camp

Never mind Storm Ciara! We’ve had disaster on Camp! Brodie has fallen off a bunk bed and knocked himself out, Joseph has a horrific burn in another room, Megan has severely cut herself preparing food in the Kitchen and James has shot himself with an arrow! Fortunately our Scouts have had first aid training all weekend on camp and know EXACTLY how to handle these incidents ☝️ #skillsforlife #firstaid #haworthscoutgroup @ Ashworth Valley Scout Camp

Last weekend our Beavers were introduced to our Groups Big Camp Mascot. Tonight our Scouts got to meet the mascot and choose a name! 😂
Those who know are sworn to secrecy for the big reveal on Big Camp.
