Yet again we woke up to snowy fells and blue skies! This gorgeous weather will continue for the next few days, so wrap up warm and enjoy the winter wonderland, Lake District style :)

Wonderful place with terrific staff and lovely food

We went in on Saturday on the off chance of getting a table. Staff really friendly, good food and good service. Not a bad word to say about it

We stay here 3 times a year. .been visiting this place for around 16 years...just love it...brilliant food and 1st class service...staff are brilliant. .going back in 3 weeks

Spent a couple of hours in the beer garden basking in warm sunshine. Staff friendly and approachable. Food OK for the price as were the drinks. Very nice 👍

Just had a 1 night stay here booked last minute. Can highly recommend rooms lovely staff very helpful and great breakfast.

Just got back from a night stay here, very clean, well decorated cosy room, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was gorgeous! Thank you for having us!

I organised a surprise birthday party for my mother's 70th birthday. 18-20 cellar bar could not have been more accommodating. The food was stunning, the service was excellent and memories were made. Thank you x

Had a lovely weeks stay here. The food is fantastic, the room lovely and clean and the staff so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble! Really good shower too!

Great restaurant, great service, had steak special 2 �Courses &. Lovely bottle of red �Would recommend.

We Bobbed in on the off chance, on a Monday night.4 adults. Initial lack lustre welcome, very quiet & the silence made it initially feel a little unwelcoming. BUT.... we were served drinks promptly, ordered quickly and when the food arrived it was worth the initial apprehension. Burger, gammon, chicken & steak pudding all delicious, well cooked & good value. great little bar down stairs, and a hard working waiter made for a lovely evening. We would go back. (Just bob a smile on and turn up the music if quiet �)

Watched the world cup final here and had a bit of lunch. Good day all round

Nice clean rooms .. mattress was bit uncomfortable but overall stay was very pleasant

Just called in for a drink in the beer garden. Service could've been better but seemed understaffed. Great out the back for the sun and away from all the hustle and bustle. Went back the following day too so must've been OK.

Just been down to keswick for the weekend the sun was out & we spent a pleasant afternoon in the beer garden. Lovely pub & stayed in the accommodation which is good value for money.

Had a great stay with the Mrs & 2 year old! Amazing friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. We ate in the restaurant & I have to say it was fantastic extra brownie points for the children's meal zero processed rubbish he loved it!

Breakfast was fantastic too!

Room was lovely & clean just little things like light bulbs being out & the iron we borrowed from reception had seen better days that could of made our stay 5 stars but we will be back for sure! Thanks for a great stay! Chris, Lauren & Alfie!

Good afternoon in the beer garden great pint

Enjoyed the meal, but table setting could be better. We were put on a coffee table to eat our dinner. But during our mains they did move us to a dining table which was better.

Couldnt fault it food was lovely and staff very pleasant cheers

Web page needs updated to say restaurant/bar closed from November so not to book in dark dreary area n go to find somewhere else to eat on a cold night when expecting to chill n eat in bar area. The first time we stayed 3x adults stayed 2years ago it great everything from booking /eating to leaving this time it took 3phone calls later waiting outside for someone to arrive after 3pm having to go into another pub to warm up in meantime although my friend did enjoy her breakfast the mushrooms � and eggs left a lot of water residue on plate making toast to soggy to eat in the word of the gentleman seeing to our needs don't book into November hence website update needed but I will say the involved gentleman did try and make things brighter for us and showed me where to free park which I do Thank him for � and carried my luggage .... Very expensive for what we ordered. 5 meals and 1 round of drinks consisting of 3 alcoholic drinks and 3 soft drinks and it came to £76!! For lunch I thought this was quite expensive and it was nothing special - scampi and chips which was shared (only 6 pieces of scampi) a ham and cheese baguette (which was shared) along with another 2 baguettes and a wrap. More than we wanted to spend but the food was ok - not the worse the we have ever had- shame the price doesn’t reflect what other places can do for a fraction of the price

Atrocious!! Booked a table for 8pm Sunday 27th May we arrive at 7.50pm to be seated, waiter took our order, 2 out of the three drinks we ordered were wrong, At 8.45 another waiter with a (man bun) came and asked us if we had ordered he was told yes the first waiter then came and apologised said food was coming, 9pm my partner went over to the waiter with the man bun and gave him £20.00 for the drinks as we were leaving without eating and the waiter Laughed in his face!! So I would say avoid this place like the Bubonic Plague
