Good drink and the beer garden is a great sun trap.

Bar meals are pretty good too.

A nice meal in pleasant surroundings
Main courses of Wild boar sausages and marinated chicken were lovely and tasty
My starter of wild mushrooms with garlic soda bread (which was slices of French bread) could have been hotter.The waitress was a little abrupt but this could have been a nationlaity trait
All that said I would eat here again

We had a couple of drinks in the Cellar Bar which was very comfortable and pleasant. Beers were very good. Dinner upstairs was very good. The seabass special was excellent and the fillet steak pretty good. Service was generally very good even if they looked a little stretched at times.

Great service, very fast, friendly staff.
Nice selection on the menu.
Girlfriend had the pork steak, apple and cheese sauce and it was delicious, i had to steal a bit.
I had the Cumberland pie which i have never heard of before or seen in any other local pubs, it was delicious and came with spicy potatoes which were also very nice, only criticism is the pie was topped with potato which made for a lot of potato in the meal.
Nice selection of wine.
Cosy atmosphere.
Would definitely return.

Did not like down stairs at all. I will not be back.
