19Th Ilford North Scout Group

Lego model observation session tonight went well. Each group had to try a build an exact replica of my model but could only look at it for 10 seconds away from their own table/model took them about 20 minutes to get it right.

Our Cubs working towards their Disability Awareness badge, trying to walk around obstacles, blindfolded, following verbal instructions. The activity was followed by a discussions about how they felt, their thoughts, what other types of disabilities they have come across or know about and how to support children in their school with disabilities.

Great night at Cubs. My first night as an Akela in my entire scouting life and I thoroughly enjoyed it! So did the Cubs who were fantastic and made me feel very welcomed. They loved playing Hungry Hippos and gave me some good feedback on activities and days out they would like to see organised. Exciting times ahead!!

Good to see 6 of our cubs camping over at the chigwell girl guide campsite this weekend. All looked to be having fun.... thanks to all the leaders supporting the weekend.
