What a dump. We used to come here when I was around ten and nothing has changed now I' forty-three!
Wife tried to book online but couldn't get access to the payment section. Phoned up and was told it would all be okay, they had the booking , we had a reference number and come along. Once there we were told 'the system' wouldn't let them change the price so we ended up having to pay the extra as if we'd just walked in, making the online booking system and any savings made through it invalid.
We were then put on lane one, which the family before us had mysteriously asked not to have. The pin setter on lane one turned out to be faulty. Every so often you would either get pins missing, fallen or none at all. The ball return shoot didn't always spit the ball back out, just kept hold of it, rolling it around like a kid with a gobstopper.
Our games were interrupted a number of times as the machinery didn't work, At one point one of the engineers turned it all off and had to climb inside to fix something. The problems on lane one must be known to staff as the CUSTOMER before us was aware of it.
After a disappointing experience, i stupidly made the mistake of using the toilets. I have seen cleaner sanitary ware at the local tip than was installed there. Brown with filth and lime scale it was all as dated and worn as the rest of the building.
Ignoring the sticky surfaces (EVERYTHING you touch!), the extensive damage and wear to the poorly maintained building, the threadbare carpets and water stained ceiling tiles would be possible if the machinery functioned properly. We would have had a better experience if there had been a moron setting the pins by hand, however.
MFA Bowl needs to either invest a considerable amount in this place or shut it down as they are taking money and not providing any kind of value for it.

Amazing place. Really cheap, food is nice too.

Staff are always helpful. Not the most modern building and could do with a lick of paint

Nice bowling centre. Feeling a little bit tired these days. Could do with a revamp. Still a fun day or night out though
