Thanks to you all for making our 4th ‘Belles of Belvoir’ our best ever. You were awesome. For quite a lot of you it was your first sportive and or you cycled your furthest distance. FANTASTIC.
We are very grateful for your company yesterday and would like to extend a huge thanks also to all the people who help make it happen and the love and support of some excellent friends and family. We do want to continue to hold our events, but need your continued support to come along -... please help us spread the word and bring your friends.
* Next event is Belvoir Blast (bring the boys) on Sun 30th September. Yesterday was the first sportive I have done and it was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and it was all so well organised. The route was great, the cakes were gorgeous, the goody bag was fab and the massage was wonderful! What more can I say except thank you to all who made it a very enjoyable day!

User

Yesterday was my first sportive and I couldn't have asked for a better organised or more friendly experience. 2 Wheels and a Piece of Cake carry you through the day and then shower you with massages and yoga, cake, refreshments and a goody bag at the end. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I can't wait to do The Blast in September. x

User

What a brilliant event - I talked a number of my friends into the 50 miles at the end of last year and they all took up the challenge. In experience we ranged from Clare, Louise and myself who have all done Ride the Night, to Rosie - who is a fitness bunny but hadn't cycled this far, to Kay who has cycled but not in her recent past, to Jane who did a wobbly 2 miles, thirteen weeks ago after not having been on a bike for 40 years.

The whole event was so well organised from check in, to the cake stops (with all the lovely smiley helpers) and the welcome when we got back. I would definitely recommend it - especially if you've not done anything like this before.

Thank you to Emma and Britta and their team for a fabulous day out in the Leicestershire countryside

User

Very well organised friendly sportive. Will be back next year or maybe in September for the belvoir blast. There was so much cake, the feed stations where excellent. Also throughly enjoyed the massage at the end. Well done

User

This was my first sportive and I absolutely loved it!! I can't imagine an event could be organised any better. Friendly, supportive atmosphere, great route and scenery, well signposted (very important with my propensity for getting lost), the knowledge that mechanical and medical back up was there if needed… and amazing cakes (yes, I tried several!!). Thank you so much. I'm definitely planning to do the Belvoir Blast later in the year.

User

This was my first 70 mile ride and I really enjoyed it. The routes were very scenic and picturesque and the majority of the roads were a pleasure to ride on! The feed stations were very well spaced out and well stocked! Thank you for organising a great event, it’s certainly one I would do again.

User

This is my second time attending this sportive and loved the support and how friendly everyone is. I travelled especially from Clacton-On-Sea Essex to do this ride with a very good friend. I intend returning next year, if not before (for the Belvoir blast) if I can convince my husband to join me in September. I had a fantastic day and met a couple of people who I hope I will ride with again next year.

User

Simply the best! I've ridden a fair few sportives and so I feel qualified to add my opinion. I can only echo what others have said. A wonderful friendly, family atmosphere to the event. No timing so no racing unless your racing against yourself. I'm afraid I'm as guilty as others on the timed events and trying to ride like I'm breaking from the peleton in the Tour de France! 😅 This was a ride to sit back and enjoy; enjoy the atmosphere of the day, the countryside, fellow riders and of course the magnificent feed stations of which there were plenty. Amazing cakes that I have never even dreamed of ...and a cup of tea or coffee served in a proper cup and saucer...on a sportive?...unheard of! The only racing was to get to the next feed station! 😅 I accepted the fact I was going to get 'coffee stop' legs and made the most of it! Back to Hose, a lovely 'goody' bag, the chance of a massage and some great post ride sustenance provided by Jo and Mel 😀 All included in the entry fee! Amazing! I've paid similar amounts for sportives and received a great deal less! I rode this event last year and will be riding it again next year. So thank you Emma and Britta and all of your helpers for a truly unforgettable event. I'm looking forward to next year! 😀

User

Second time riding Belles of Belvoir 24 miler and also did the Belvoir Blast in September. Britta, Emma and their support team do a fabulous job in organising and running these events. The whole thing feels warm, friendly and inclusive. Ride organisation, signage and information is great. Delightful tea and cake refreshments in lovely village hall during the ride and again at the end, plus a burger too.....did I mention the cake?! The ride is a pretty and scenic route, cycling on quiet country lanes with friends and each time so far the weather has been glorious. Goody bag and a medal too at the end - perfect :) Can't recommend this enough to all ladies who love to cycle, chat and eat cake. We all loved it and we shall be back again. Thank you xx

User

Second time I have done the 70 - great atmosphere and organisation. The scenery is lovely and it is a challenging ride. Lots of cake at both stops and a nice hot cup of tea!

User

Our third outing with the belles on bikes. 25 miles the first couple of events and this time we did the 50 miles. We loved it! Great people, really well organised and most of all AMAZING cake. We will be back in September for the 58 and maybe even try the 70 next year Not bad for 2 ladies who didn't really cycle much until a couple of years ago!

User

Our first Belvoir Blast - will definitely do it again! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, the route was very well sign posted, amazing scenery and the cake ... fantastic! Goody bag was great - the drinks bottle is the first one I've had that doesn't leak!Would highly recommend this sportive - well done everyone for your hard work in organising such an enjoyable event.

User

My third year at Belles event. We had such a lovely day once again. I can't recommend this highly enough. Sign up now, put on some padded shorts and enjoy the miles, smiles and lack of testosterone.

User

It was my first time doing the 50 and here are my favourite things about yesterday:

- I loved the route - so pretty, lots of moments of joy, but also the challenge of the hills.

- the warm welcome from Britta, Emma & family and her lovely sister & my good friend Jen making us a cheese sandwich even though the savoury had all gone!

- all the other ladies on the 50 who were so supportive, such a good vibe and lots of encouragement.

- Mark the mechanic who fixed my puncture in double quick time with an extra helping of advice and tyre tips ( let me know when you have your next ladies bike maintenance evening)!

- fantastically organised- location. registration, the warm up, the signage, all the cakes & drinks, a warm welcome, goodie bag & medal at the end, retail therapy & massage.

Looking forward to the next one!

User

I've only had my bike a few weeks and this was my first sportive event so didn't know what to expect. I found it a friendly, well organized event and great fun. Well signed, easy to follow route, and amazing cakes! I'll definitely be back in September.

User

I did my first Sportive yesterday in a group of 6 - we did the 50 miler. There was a wonderfully friendly atmosphere from start to finish. Check in was efficient and friendly, the event briefing put us at ease and then we got to ride through the glorious countryside with some amazing views.

I was really taken with the friendliness of the other riders - and then, of course, there was the mountain of fabulous cake and the lovely ladies at the Cake Stops who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

A massive "Thank You" to Emma, Britta and all of the support team for organising a fantastic event!!

User

Great ride, lovely friendly people and fantastic cake stops! Will be back next year!

User

Excellent day today, went on my own but didnt feel alone, everyone was so lovely and supporting. Very well organised and cakes topped it off ;-) looking forward to coming back and doing it again next year!!

User

Did my first sportive yesterday and the 24 miles. Without doubt, it was the loveliest, friendliest event I have ever done - from registering, to getting the mechanic to check my front wheel was on properly, to the ladies at the cake stop, the guys out in the car and the team at the finish (when I had a few happy tears!) Great refreshments throughout the day and fabulous medal and goody bag. Thank you so much - I hope you are very proud of your event as it was wonderful x
