This month in the club:... Patrick McCallion
When you combine sincere and meaningful music with an electrifying and energetic live show, more often than not, the result is an ensemble like Patrick McCallion’s Small Words. The UK based 5 piece pop-rock ensemble are rapidly gaining popularity across the UK, with high profile performances at major UK festivals and the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire to boot. Taking inspiration from acts as diverse as Royal Blood, Muse and Bruce Springsteen, Patrick McCallion has created a distinctive sound, crafting lyrics that transition from socially aware protest songs to emotionally intriguing ballads. Along with his band, Patrick has worked tirelessly to create a unique take on the genre, priding himself on crafting “rock and pop with a conscience”. The band has recently recorded a new EP with famed producer David M. Allen (The Cure, The Human League, Depeche Mode). An extensive tour of the UK will shortly follow.
