7 HQ & Sp Squadron (currently deployed to Iraq on Op SHADER) took part in a 'Gun Run' event to welcome in the New Year. Competing against members of the Swedish, German, New Zealand and Australian armed forces, they completed 2 X 1 Km runs and 2 shoots. After the event they got to try their hand at each nations rifles. #sappers #allies... #royalengineers #fitness #soldier

It is with great sadness that we can now announce the death of Corporal Peter 'Stan' Stanley on Tuesday 6 November. Since 2014 he has looked after the interests of our families and played a central role in the strong relationship the Regiment enjoys with Ripon. The loss of such a thoughtful and hardworking soldier is hard felt by all those who knew him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

To mark the centenary of the First World War, 238 personnel from 21Engineer Regiment, The Royal Dragoon Guards and 5 Armoured Medical Regiment joined forces to recreate a photo taken 100 years ago.
It commemorates the 8 million horses, mules and donkeys that gave their lives on the battlefield.
This week we resubordinated from 12(FS)Engr Gp and FTC to 25(CS)Engr Gp and 3rd(UK)Div. Great to host our new Gp Comd and teams from both Gp HQs last week, as we recognise past service and look to our future as the lead STRIKE Engr Regt.
Post Op TRENTON, 17 members of the Regiment and one external instructor deployed on a 1 week adventure training package to Bavaria. Activities included hiking, mountain biking and some challenging Klettersteig. A much deserved training package for all involved!
Prior to deploying on Op SHADER, 7 HQ and Support Sqn have deployed to the USA to work alongside the US Army.
Blue berets worn proudly as we joined today’s Parade to Parliament, following which soldiers and families were thanked for their commitment to recent operations.
