Just over a week until our open evening. Who's coming along?
Yesterday we spent the day working hard, marking targets at Bisley rifle range #whatwedo #rafac #cadets #211 #newbury
Why not come along to our open evening. You can see what we do, help us reward cadets with trophies and there will also be cake...
And we are back from five activity packed days around Weymouth, including climbing, paddlesports, geocaching, a sealife centre and a trip to the Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum
We're away with 1861 (Wantage) squadron this weekend climbing, canoeing and having adventures in Weymouth!
The cadets from 211 Sqn are having a go at the annual Newbury Crafty Craft 2019! Our craft was built by cadets and staff from our Engineering Trade group - and is definitely an improvement over our last few efforts!!!

The squadron was helping out at Goring Heath Horse Trials last weekend, an event we've attended for over 15 years. Thankfully we had brilliant weather and the cadets got to test their teamwork, organisation and leadership skills to ensure success and raise vital funds for the unit. #whatwedo #goringheathhorsetrials #airtrainingcorps #rafac #fundraiser
Thanks to everybody who voted! Looks like we're going Islander Kayaks Calypso Sports in a stunning Emerald colour scheme!!!
South Coast Canoes - we're looking at you!!! ;)
And many thanks again to The Connaught Trust for their invaluable support!!!
PICK OUR KAYAKS!!!
The Connaught Trust have kindly donated to 211 (Newbury) Squadron ATC to purchase some new kayaks and expand our capacity to deliver Adventure Training.
Whilst we've decided on the model, we can't decide whether to get them in Emerald or Citrus - so we thought we'd let our cadets and friends decide!!!
... Poll closes on 31st January 2019.

Last weekend we did our final adventure training activity of 2018 and took 6 cadets indoor climbing at @reading_climbing_centre @swregionrafac @aircadets @tvw_air_cadets #climbing #whatwedo #airtrainingcorps #aircadets #newbury #thamesvalleywing #southwestregion
On Saturday evening our two longest serving civilian instructors, Jan and Steve, received these awards for their efforts in supporting not only our squadron but the whole Royal Air Force Air Cadets. A South West Regional Commandant's commendation and a Commandant Air Cadets commendation for meritorious service, both earned over a vast number of years. They've supported hundreds of cadets between them and have helped shape the lives of young people. Thank you both for everything and long may it continue. #proud #whatwedo #noordinaryvolunteer #aircadets #airtrainingcorps #rafac
Our own CWO with her colleagues at the Birmingham Tattoo where the Royal Air Force Air Cadets Music Services performed.
Are any of our supporters data engineers, and fancy helping us out with our internet at the squadron?
We did a pumpkin carving contest tonight at our #Halloween party. Someone got in the spirit! #aircadets #whatwedo #royalairforceaircadets #rafac #thamesvalleywing Thames Valley Air Cadets South West Region Royal Air Force Air Cadets Commandant Air Cadets
Today a team of cadets from the squadron represented Thames Valley Air Cadets in the South West Region Royal Air Force Air Cadets music competition. They won the ensemble competition and will now go and compete against the best the rest of the country has to offer at the Air Training Corps national competition.
We're amazingly proud of them, the squadron has never competed in music at that level before and it's testament to the hard work of the team that they won.

It's our last intake of the year this week. Who's coming along?
