23Rd Camberwell Scout Group

A very enjoyable day walking across all the bridges for Battersea Park to City Hall. Thanks to 30th Southwark for organising. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🥾😴

2018/19 AGM completed last night. Introducing this years Scouts Scout of the year, fully deserved! Congratulations to two @phoenixexplorers members on completing their younger leader belts (we remember you being small little Cubs coming upto the troop for the first time!).

On full PL and APL duty at @camberwellfair dog show awarding the winning four legged friends their prizes. @ Camberwell Green

Some sad news for those who have a connection to the old Camberwell District and the 23rd. Grant Wallace passed away last week.
Grant was a Cub and Scout with the 21st Camberwell and later became a leader at the 23rd Camberwell, taking over from Cindy when she left to become the groups Akela. Grant was my own Akela, along with the majority of leaders at the 23rd who are my age helping with different sections. ... He played a big role backstage of the Camberwell Gangshow working with the arts and craft and stage design, using his love for arts and craft. He stepped down as Akela around 15 years ago but was still, until this day, a keen supporter of the 23rd, was always at fundraising events such as the Christmas dinner.
Thank you Akela, we will do our best!

A good days been had on Scout spring camp but every weather imaginable! From sun to wind to hail stones...and it's cold with it! But bed time now ready for another busy day tomorrow :)

Happy Easter from sunny Norfolk! Off on a little treasure hunt this afternoon after the morning swim!

Total we'll mostly be swimming visiting the pleasure beach and roller discoing.
