2459 Poulton Le Fylde Squadron

Congratulations to our newest Senior NCO, a well deserved promotion this week for Sgt Jones.

2459 were very pleased to welcome back former Cpl Jeffery to the Squadron this week, now an Officer Cadet. Great to see how our cadets progress and always a warm welcome when they pop back in to see us.

Congratulations to Cdt Jackson receiving the 2018 Musketry award and his Bronze DoE award from the CO. Well done.

Congratulations to our 2018 Presentation Night award winners, WO Davison & WO Wright on their long service medals, our newly enrolled cadets and to our two new NCOs, Cpl Evans and Cpl Mason. Many thanks to Wg Cdr Molloy and County Clr Alf Clempson for presenting the awards and to our Squadron Padre Rev Keithley for welcoming our new cadets.

2459 (Poulton-le-Fylde) Squadron will be supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal on Saturday 3rd and 10th Nov, with poppy collectors in & around the Teanlowe Centre. All donations welcome for this great cause.

Cadets from 2459 have been working with the Poulton-le-Fylde community this week at St Chads church, supporting remembrance poppy activities. CDT Critchley shows off one of this weeks craft creations created by local children and volunteers.

2459 (Poulton-le-Fylde) Squadron preparing the RBL Poppy Appeal boxes for distribution in Wyre and looking forward to our cadets being out in the town on the 3rd and 10th November.

Swimming competency certificates issued tonight at 2459, to Cdts Howard and Sigley, who also achieved his Leading Cadet classification. Well done both.

Congratulations to 2459 (Poulton-le-Fylde) Squadron RAF Air Cadets and the Encore Singers on the successful ‘High Flight ‘ charity fundraiser concert, in aid of the RAF Charitable Trust. A very successful night raising funds for one of the smaller RAF charities.

The Squadron’s Civilian Welfare Committee would like to invite you to its Annual General Meeting to be held at the Squadron on Wednesday 16th.May 2018 Commencing at 7-00pm.
As Parents/Guardians of Cadets and Association Members of this organisation, you are entitled and most welcome to attend. This is an opportunity to meet Committee Members and find out more about the vital work the Committee undertakes on behalf of the Squadron.
... The Civilian Committee of 2459 Squadron is now actively recruiting for new members. If you feel that you may like to support the Squadron further by becoming a member of the Civilian Committee, please speak to any committee member present at the above meeting.
This will not be a big commitment, but nevertheless the Civilian Committee plays a vital role in enabling the Squadron to function effectively.
Your support is most appreciated and I look forward to meeting you on the night.

Our Annual Presentation Night will be on 15th March. Look out for Cadets bringing letters home this evening. We need booking forms returned by 1st March.

Great news, our building starts its refurbishment tomorrow. At the moment we're hoping to continue parading there during the refurb, but this may change. If it does, then we'll post here and on the Squadron Twitter feed.
