📸 corkbuzzed 🍷 Tignanello is always perfectly crafted and this 99 was no different. Tasted blind, I went for early 00s left bank. The cabernet is a lot more evident than the Sangiovese.

Wonderful wine, fantastic staff - can't wait to go back soon .

We were celebrating a special birthday and could not fault the service or the quality of food.

I would thoroughly recommend anyone to pay a visit.

User

The Marylebone branch is very elegant and relaxing on a weekday evening. The menu offers a good selection of modern European dishes that go well with wines and I generally go for the usual selection of meat and cheese platter to nibble, followed by oysters and steak. The selection of wines is always superb and the restaurant/bar offers a very satisfying selection of international wines. I have always enjoyed my experience there and if you are really into your wines you can sample 75ml measures rather than 175ml glasses. On my last visit (my birthday) I wanted to go to a place where I knew the wine and food would be good and I could also entertain myself as I tasted about 6 or so different wines which I matched with the foods. They were all superb except for one Greek red which was a very acquired taste and generally with wines from Greece - this is to be expected ! I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys wine tasting or stylish foodie places.

food is simple but incredibly well done. One of the lightest most delicious parfaits if ever had. Unfortunately the wine list is incredibly top heavy. Not bad value for the wines, just top heavy. So if you are prepared to pay £80+ for a bottle you'll get your monies worth and you'll have plenty of choice, but the sub £50 range was sparse in comparison and not that inspiring. Staff were pleasant and efficient and there is a nice buzz about the place. I would go back again as a fine wine destination, Not so much for just a night out with the mates for a quick bite

User

This is a very cosy, small but cute wine bar. If you want to sit at the bar and have wine and a small bite (may be some cheese) then it is the right place. However, if you want to dine there then get ready for an average food. I had high expectations from this place but I must say that I got disappointed. I had cod with black rice and black rice was super undercooked and both the rice and cod were tasteless. No flavours or spices whatsoever. Additionally, there is a very cold and snobbish barmen which affects the experience as well...He should give recommendations and be patient with people tasting the wine. It's a wine bar after all! Food service was ok but the server lady should learn how to recommend food better. At the end we were still eating our cheese and drinking wine but they asked us to leave as they were closing the restaurant. It was around midnight on a Friday night. We were about to leave any way but we had to use wc before we left and yet again we were reminded by the snobbish barmen that they got closed 10min ago! They were still cleaning and working so this push/rush was really unnecessary!

User

It was ok, we sat outside and got forgotten about whist we were waiting to pay.

User

Stuff was very nice and good atmosphere. I only had octopus it was very bad overlooked and greasy. I tried 3 different red's but was not impressed with any. I like my good wine. That was not it.
