It’s been nearly one year since Lisa Do, Senior Research Executive, relocated from Melbourne over to 2CV's Singapore office. Lisa is an excellent research all-rounder who has been busy across all aspects of our business…. and last week was a particularly busy one for Lisa!
Tuesday: TrendWatching’s "The Future of Experiences" event at Singapore’s National Design Museum. Here Lisa learnt about future innovations and trends in designing impactful customer experiences.
Wednesday:... General Assembly’s "Ask Me Anything: A Panel of Digital Marketers". A panel discussion about hot topics in digital marketing from leaders at Facebook, Citibank, Hooq and Style Theory.
Thursday: Marketing Magazine's Agency of the Year gala dinner where Lisa and her team were finalists for the Market Research Agency of the Year award.
Friday: ESOMAR’s ‘Best of' APAC Tour where she heard from some of ESOMAR’s best past conference presenters.
Thank you for moving over to Singapore to join us Lisa – we love having you on the team!

Hot off the press – here’s a taster of the forthcoming report into young people in Germany as part of the British Council’s Next Gen Programme. It covers youth’s views on a range of topics, including: identity, voice and representation, education, employment, financial security, and immigration.
It’s a fascinating programme and one we’re honoured to have been part of, we look forward to sharing the full report in the near future!

As Earth Day draws to a close in the US, we ask the question - are world leaders doing enough to tackle climate change? Apparently not…
We surveyed 1,000 people in each of the US, UK and Singapore, asking “Do you feel the world's leaders are doing enough to address the global climate change issue?”. Only 7% said yes – clearly the public does not feel our leaders are doing enough to support this issue.
The sentiment was especially negative in the UK, where only 3% answered ...positively (compared to 8% in the US and Singapore).
We recycle, take public transport, turn the lights off but does the subject feel so big that we feel powerless, despite all things we do each day to help? Is the missing piece of the puzzle more world leaders like Jacinda Ardern?
“Do you want to be a leader that looks back in time and say that you were on the wrong side of the argument when the world was crying out for a solution?” Jacinda Ardern, Prime Mister of New Zealand

You'd have to be an technophobic hermit to have missed the fact that there is a World Cup going on. This quadrennial football feast is a spectacle unrivalled in terms of global audiences with this year's tournament expected to reach nearly half the world's population. It is therefore unsurprising that FIFA have taken the decision to implement a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to aid the men in the middle this summer. However, great as this embrace of technology is, the move has not been without controversy. https://lnkd.in/dr3zUz9

We might not mean to do it, but it is so easy to slip into lazy labelling. Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, over 60's, millennial, Gen Z, physically disabled, blind, deaf, fat, short, thin. We do it all the time. And along with those labels comes all sorts of assumptions. We can't help it, we all have a tendency to resort to stereotypes.
