Many Congratulations to FS Barker who is now a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader (formally WGL). This qualifications took around two years to complete from training to 40 Quality Hill Days before assessment.
He picked a great weekend to do it with a yellow weather warning, driving rain, flooding, 55mph head winds and snow! The assessment takes three days to complete and it assesses everything from emergency procedures, micro navigation, macro navigation, group management, knowledge of the outdoors and navigation in the dark.
All this so the squadron can start offering Gold DofE to the cadets. Well done FS
