Challenging the Scouts tonight. Had a mess around in the rain creating a campsite out of natural materials, came back for hot chocolate, and then some problem solving for our skills badge. Overall, quite successful!

Beaver Section! I hope you enjoyed your marshmallows tonight, and they cheered a rainy day! Next week we will be working on our skills badge and making a machine with moving parts. The machine we will be making will be a winch. When we've made it we'll use it to lift various objects and see which team can build the tallest towers. Please could you bring with you: 2 x egg boxes or other sturdy boxes... 1 x yogurt pot, cotton or ribbon wheel or yogurt drink bottle Toilet roll or kitchen roll tubes Thank you, Bubbles.

Scout section! We’re still going to play outside later so make sure you dress appropriately (top half uniform, scout trousers, waterproofs, sturdy boots (or wellies!)! It’s not going to stop raining all day! It’ll make the river (stream) crossing puzzle fun!

Reminder that Cubs and Scouts are not meeting tonight (14th) due to a leaders’ meeting. Beavers are meeting as normal.
All Sections will be meeting as normal next week (21st).

We’re so pleased with Team Birdseye and additions Rhi and Paige today. Smashed. It. Worked brilliantly as a team and made brilliant time.

And raspberry doughnut flavour Fabs to keep them going!

Nice day for a hike! They’re throwing themselves around the route today. Just have to remind them to take breaks!

A notice for the BEAVER section: Please wear old 'bottom half' clothing tomorrow as we will be working outside on our eco-garden project. This will involve painting old tyres! Pls bring jumpers and neckers as normal for opening ceremony. I hope you all had a great Easter break and we're looking forward to seeing you all! Bubbles 😀

Hello all, this is a message for the Beaver and Cub Section: We are planning a local hike for Saturday 4th May 2019. It will be around the Billesley area. A letter will follow in due course. If you are interested in your young person joining us, please save the date. Thank you.

Our last meeting of this term will be Tuesday 16th April. That evening will be a joint party night so all three sections will be meeting at 5.00-6.30pm. Please note the amended times! We will talk to the children later regarding party food. We will be returning on Tuesday 30th April at the normal time for your section.

Thank you to the two handfuls of Scouts we had (and their amazing parents!) for their support during the blustery, rainy and cold litterpick with The Riverside Project. We filled so many bags! #cleanbillesley #conservation #environmentalimpact
