4 Happy Paws Dog Training

When we got our new puppy, Lola, I was keen to make sure we gave her the best start and puppy training was a must. As I was struggling to find a time which fitted with work and family to attend the group puppy classes I decided to embark on some 1-2-1 sessions with Julie. Both Lola and I thoroughly enjoyed our training time and it was great for Julie to be able to see Lola in her home environment. Julie follows up her sessions with detailed training notes and phone/email support is available. Most importantly Julie is friendly, supportive and encouraging and her training techniques showed great results! We are looking forward to embarking on more training with Julie in the New Year.

What a wonderful training course we received. Every session was so warm and welcoming. I have a very worried little terrier, and Julie worked with the dog individually , to their level of comfort. Wonderful family time and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you.

We completed the puppy course and adolescent course with our cockapoo, Bertie and found the classes to be great fun and very helpful from start to finish.



Julie is a calm, friendly and knowledgable lady who is wonderful with dogs and owners! Nothing was ever too much trouble.



Despite Bertie completing his last classes with Julie in mid 2017, when I contacted Julie recently about a couple of issues we were having, she was very happy to help with lots of advice and information, all of which worked.

This lady is truly amazing.

Just before Christmas I adopted a gorgeous dog from Romania called Holly.

Holly is very chilled but didn't listen or understand anything I was saying and when I commanded her to sit by raising my hand she started shaking and got very stressed.

Within 5 minutes of Julie coming round she had her sitting.

Re-call has also been a huge success and comes back to me every time I call her.

I highly recommend Julie and our 1-2-1s were worth every penny.

Me and my Labrador have completed puppy school and adolescent classes with Julie and found them super helpful and informative! Julie is very helpful and has lots of tips for training and behaviour ☺️ Hope to do another course soon!

Just completed the puppy training course with Betty (that's the puppy!) really enjoyed ourselves, informative lessons, really helpful manual and lovely instructor - Julie - locally based and would recommend it to all new owners both experienced and the complete novice (like me!).

I have just completed the adolescent training course with my 11 month old puppy. As my dog is very nervous the small friendly class really suited her.

All the training is well demonstrated and explained by Julie and takes into account the needs of the dogs and the experience of the owners.

The classes are relaxed and fun and it is great to share experiences and tips with the other owners.

Julie has also supported us at home with 1:1 sessions to help Lilly's anxiety, her knowledge and advice has been fantastic.

Friends recommended training with Julie and I am very grateful, I would recommend this training wholeheartedly.

I attended Puppy School, Adolescent Class and Canine Capers with Julie and thoroughly enjoyed training with her. The classes were so much fun and informative and both me and my pooch Bonnie gained so much from them. I would highly recommend :-)

Having just returned from a holiday with Tess, my 10 month old puppy, I am so pleased I chose 4 Happy Paws for the two training courses we completed (Puppy course and Adolescent course). We were able to use all of the training in totally new situations on the holiday, I was so proud of how she took everything in her stride. Julie was always cheerful and took things at our pace showing us how to train our puppies using totally positive methods. We were provided with 1 to 1 advice, hints and tips for our individual concerns (however minor) together with the chance to socialise with other puppies of a similar age. Those new to owning a puppy and those who had owned dogs before were all catered for. The best praise came in Clevedon recently, Tess and I met three owners with their dogs and one remarked “There’s another well trained dog putting us to shame!” Thank you Julie, I'm looking forward to further courses you may offer for older puppies.

Happy paws is run by professional and fully qualified members of staff. Julie has years of experience . I thoroughly enjoyed her sessions with my puppy.. She showed a calm and enthusiastic approach to all areas of training. It was a great class for puppies and older dogs with their socialisation. Commands like sit.stay.wait.heel etc.. and altered some techniques to suit each dog. She was always encouraging, bright and bubblie. I highly recommend happy paws. Thank you Julie x

Amazing and personal service. Our lovely rescue pug was a total nightmare walking on the lead when we first had her, but after a couple of 1-2-1 sessions with Julie she was like a different dog and we knew how to correctly handle her behaviour. Highly recommend 4 Happy Paws!

Absolutely brilliant adolescent training for our madcap year old labrador Rosie. I learnt loads too. The hour long sessions just flew by & cannot believe how different Rosie was in the space of 6 weeks. Looking forward to our next course...
