50Cycles Electric Bikes Loughborough

I have always had great service since purchasing my first Kalkhoff from 50 Cycles in Loughborough back in 2013 when I moved South from the far North.
It was a Sahel Urban Compact and in June 2014 we were in Bristol prior to the opening of their new premises in Bond Street
To celebrate the occasion we could be seen doing a few circuits of the showroom in a blaze of glory, well actually orange, my jacket and the bike.
Late in 2016 after many happy miles it was sadly time to say good bye, on impulse and with the opportunity to take early delivery of the 2017 model I had my second Kalhoff this time from Bristol which should have been the end of the story.
Then in February I heard about the new Hercules Rob 8 folder, the added convenience of which meant I was hooked.
A quick call to 50 Cycles and they pulled out all the stops to get me one in time for Easter. It arrived in bright lime green and we managed to be at the opening of their new store in Altrincham, an amazing place on three floors

My visit was disappointing I went to fix the wheel and the employee asked me to enter and then another employee asked to wait outside and then said it needed two weeks and honestly they were not polite

Having looked around at various electric bikes I finally decided to purchase 2 Kalkhoff bikes, one Include (for myself) and an Agattu step through for my partner.
Bikes arrived on time and VERY well packed in huge cardboard boxes!
Firstly my bikes rear mudguard was hanging off but luckily the nut, washers and bolt were still in the box.
Secondly the front light didn't work. Found the fault which was a broken wire as it connected to the light terminal.
Thirdly the light actually fell off after 50 miles, luckily it stayed attached to the wires, consequently I didn't run it over! The screws that hold it on are not really long enough.
I sorted out all the above problems myself but decided to go over ALL the bolts on both bikes.
Spoke to Joe at 50cycles just to let him know the problems I had encountered. He assured me both bikes were prechecked prior to delivery... mmm! He apologised and as a goodwill gesture has agreed to send me foc a 50cycles jacket.
Having said all the above we are both VERY HAPPY with our purchases, :-) such a joy to ride!
On my first full charge a got 103 miles from the battery , using a combination of eco, sport and power. Not bad!!
Looking forward to many hundreds of miles cycling on our bikes here in the UK and in France.
The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the problems, otherwise 5stars for the bikes!

We recently took delivery of a pair of Beat Bikes Toba, step through models. One each for myself and wife. They are to replace electric cycles that we have had for 4 years. After our first weekend away in the motorhome with the cycles on the rack, we have to say that they are great fun to ride and a lot easier than our old models. The battery life seems much better, and the riding position is easier on our arms and shoulders. Over our first weekend away we covered about 35 miles around towns and country lanes with ease.
Some good friends of ours were away with us too, and they had just taken delivery of a step through and a crossbar model too. They also found them to be great fu n to ride. I took a photo of all 4 cycles parked up while we had lunch. They certainly turned a few heads as people passed.

Just purchased a Kalkhoff evo bike to cycle to work. Surprisingly comfortable and really well built. Had a few after sales queries which have now been sorted.. Great Bike

Just bought a Pro Connect impulse 9 for my wife who suffers from Asthma,
so that she is able to join me on bike rides. The bike is easy to operate and as I told her there are no hills with an electric bike, as a nervous participant I was thrilled at how easy she came to grips with the bike. The bike is very good quality performs exactly as you would expect and we look forward to many hours of fun. The whole purchase was professional informative and gave us comfort that we where buying the right product. We had researched other makes prior to making the decision to buy a Kalkhoff and none of the other manufactures gave us the level of detail and confidence we where looking for when embarking on making such a large commitment. We feel confident that we have made the correct decision in our purchase.
