New & 2nd hand Record Store. On the 3rd Floor. WITHIN Commercial Union House. 39 Pilgrim St, Newcastle Located between Space 2 & Tyneside Cinema Pop Up.

586 Records, is my record store. Thanks to kind donations of vinyl from friends and acquaintances, spare time given, by those with specialist skills and knowledge and a lot of initial, long days! .

It started with a few crates of records on tables, borrowed from other rooms, on the 3rd floor of B& D Studios, in September 2014. As momentum gathered through support networks and Professional companies, I secured funding for the first phase of a bespoke shop fit, to get underway. Our first sets of record racks, began to come into being, in mid December.
At first, the majority of the records sold, were 2nd hand ones. Either culled from my personal collection or gracious gifts from well wishers and ones I've found, on my digging trips.
Brand new releases from good friends at Claremont 56, meant I was afforded their records on the C56 and Leng labels.
In the Spring of 2015 and as momentum started to gather, listening to customer's requests, I began to start stocking, brand new releases.
The shop fit continued through the Summer and by October, it was fully fitted out with 4 listening stations - complete with technics turntables, shure white label carts and needles and sennheiser earphones. No other record shop in the North East of England, provides this attention to detail.
We have new records, delivered to us, almost daily. These add to the thousands of records available to you and I like to think we have something for everyone, who may set foot within, 586.
There is the opportunity for you to either sell us your unwanted records outright, or we sell them on your behalf. As long as the quality and condition is acceptable to us.
If you just want to hang out, within 586 and have a hot drink and chat, read a book and chat, then that's fine. Feel free to.
