This year has been an incredibly busy year for the Regiment with a vast array of soldiers deployed on operations and multiple sub unit overseas exercises in addition to those in the uk.
Hundreds of soldiers have represented the Regiment at a vast array of sports and been successful up to the point of representing team GB.
All In all this has been an exceptional year for 6 Reg which has been extremely busy and has performed a variety of complex tasks.
... Thank you to all of our soldiers and their families for making the VI family a successful, ambitious and cohesive unit.

Another incredibly busy week at Dishforth has seen a multiple events taking place prior to the Christmas break. The Regiment has hosted DComd (Log Sp) Colonel Tonkins for a visit allowing soldiers to showcase recent successes.
On Friday the soldiers of the regiment chased their "Christmas Dinner" around the airfield in a Turkey Trot before finishing at the gym and being served a Christmas meal by their Officers and Senior NCOs.

On Tuesday 64 Squadron hosted it's annual presentation night where awards were handed out to worthy recipients. It was a fantastic opportunity for troops to socialise and celebrate the successes of the past year.
The evening was a great success and was overseen and organised by Cpl Clark, LCpl O'Neill and LCpl Jeffris.

Last week saw 6 Regt RLC beat 7 Regt RLC 4-3 in the 2nd round of the army cup.
It was a hard fought match but 6 Regiment emerged as the eventual victors.
Goals were scored by Cpl Massy (2), Pte Raynor and Pte Austin.
... Sgt Richards did an outstanding job as manager preparing the team.
Unfortunately Corporal Waring suffered a broken collar bone during the match; we wish him a speedy recovery!

As Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE comes to a close, 62 Squadron are still busy in Norway. Now that the majority of the Brigade have left theatre, the Sqn has run a pre CLM cadre for the newly selected LCpls and Cpls and soldiers who are showing potential.
The 3 day cadre began with the soldiers being tested on section level orders before deploying onto the local training area and conducting recce patrols throughout the night.
The following morning they began with individual conta...ct drills, pairs fire and manoeuvre and progressed up to section attacks.
LCpls Chappell, Johnston and Rana demonstrated strong leadership and a sound understanding of the orders process, which led to them being selected to deliver orders in the field and lead the recce patrols.
