614 Volunteer Gliding Squadron is based at MDPGA Wethersfield in Essex and provides gliding training to Air Cadets from London, Essex and further afield.
614 Vgs Description
614 Volunteer Gliding Squadron provides gliding training to Air Cadets from Essex, London and the South East of England. 614 VGS is currently based at MDPGA Wethersfield in Essex. The squadron has a volunteer staff of 40-60 personnel who annually conduct around 6000 launches producing more than 800 hours airborne.
614 VGS currently operates as part of No. 2 Flying Training School, within No. 22 (Training) Group of the Royal Air Force Air Command.
Gliding operations at 614 VGS have been suspended since April 2014. It is not confirmed when they will resume.

For information, please note that all future Part-Task Trainer (simulator) Courses at 614 VGS are cancelled. We no longer have access to MoD Wethersfield - this is due to relocation of the VGS.

UPDATE: Both courses have now been filled.
We are looking to fill two Part-Task Trainer (simulator) courses on Sat morning and Sat afternoon (11th Nov). These are for 4-6 cadets each.
I've sent an email to all Sqns in London and Beds & Cambs Wings - if you wish to fill either course then please reply to that email. If your Sqn is in another Wing, let me know your Sqn No. and I'll send it to you also.

(Yes, same as last week - I promise that this is not how we normally allocate courses!) If your Sqn wishes to fill either the morning or the afternoon slot, please check Bader email and let us know.
