What did you do last week?
70 (Croft & Culcheth) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets had the opportunity to visit the Airborne Delivery Wing at RAF Brize Norton and experience their parachute simulator.
We have an open evening on Thursday 21 March at Croft Memorial Hall for potential recruits and parents or carers, with our new intake starting on Monday 25th March.

Last week saw 43 cadets attend our RAF Experience Camp which included activities such as visits to: the IWM Duxford, Horse Guards Museum, 70 Squadron RAF (to see the Atlas A400m), 27 Squadron RAF (to see the Chinook HC4), 10 Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, & 1 Parachute Training School RAF to name a few.

Tonight the Squadrons junior NCO cadre were put through their paces during a practical leadership assessment.

Our final recruitment of this school year will take place in March. Our latest intake saw recruits trained in leadership, aviation, map reading, first aid and communications to name but a few subjects. Most have been away on camps already and are looking forward to a Royal Air Force experience camp next month visiting RAF Halton, Brize Norton and Odiham. This week our cadets took part in camp cooking and air battle management lessons

Our latest passing in parade saw 19 new cadets join our ranks following an intensive intake training program that saw recruits trained on first aid, leadership, communications, airmanship and map reading to name but a few subjects. We're now recruiting for our Spring intake from School Year 8 to 16 years old.

Today we have 4 cadets at the wing training weekend, 1 cadet on a STEM activity rebuilding a hovercraft, 2 cadets learning activity first aid, 3 cadets on initial weapons training and 4 cadets at RAF Ternhill completing their glider ground training.

On Thursday the cadets competed in an inter flight competition, in activities such as volleyball, aircraft recognition, drill, leadership, and first aid.

On their first parade back our cadets took part in a planning activity for their duke of Edinburgh and a stem activity, as well as multiple other parts of the ATC syllabus #whatwedo #team70 #aircadets #dofe #STEM
