Geekfest gets better and better!

We are all set up and ready for a day of Charity Fundraising with the HTC VIVE at Palacio Lounge Falmouth! First up is the stomach-turning Richie's Plank Experience, a delightful little game where you really understand that you can still be scared of heights on a computer screen! <3

WOAH. Seriously. Mighty and Ray? A physical release? Sonic fans have just hit paydirt, bigtime.

Some of you might have seen The Beard down at Palacio Lounge in Falmouth working - well, now we've brought over one of our machines to raise money as part of Lounge Aid! Swing by and play some games and donate a few quid to Cancer Research UK <3

GAME OVER GUYS (Redruth Edition) It's with a heavy heart that we must announce the death of the Redruth bar. We got the news at very short notice and had less than 48 hours to vacate the place, so we apologise for not posting earlier and also for the loss of our First Birthday part in a couple of weeks. The down side is, even though we have a sizeable chunk of cash in our "Return to Falmouth" found, it's nowhere near enough to begin looking at a new premises. THEREFORE we h...ave decided to trim down some of our resources through sale, add that to the Fund, and focus more on our Events for a while. There might be some sales on here, but we are keeping a strong core of event-suitable equipment. This means things like GeekFest WILL BE UNAFFECTED and we are scouting out further events like DevCon and further afield to continue raising money for our triumphant return. Once more we can only offer our apologies for not staging some kind of party, but we had our hands full in our limited window to save our equipment. If you have an event that could be improved with the addition of games and cocktails, give us a nudge and we'll be right along :)

Was walking through Falmouth on the first day of our holiday and we saw this place. Me and my girlfriend didn't end up coming in until our last day but we had such an amazing time chilling out, playing games, chatting and jut having fun. Wish we had come in sooner to be honest, highlight of the holiday!! Will definitely be coming for a visit again!

Truly awesome place. Brilliant gaming-related cocktails, great games and fantastic staff. Very friendly regulars, too! Easily the best bar in Falmouth, whether you want to chill out or have a blast of a night out.

This is something I've been searching for for a long long time. The 8-Bit Gaming Bar is charming, cosy yet spacious, and absolute eye-candy for any gamer worth their salt! Seriously, I was in awe when I walked through those doors. Sheer heaven. Plenty of drinks on offer, too! And the cocktail selection is gorgeous. I was unsure at first, but once I sat down with a drink in one hand and a controller in the other, the hours just went by :)



Amazing collection of modern and retro gaming guff. Wonderful and likeminded staff. Outstanding drinks. Great place to spend your free time, especially with gamer friends ^^

The scouted says its power level is over 9000, a truly awesome place to chill with like minded people, brilliant atmosphere and awesome games, staff are super friendly which is a major bonus in my eyes, but to sum it up its pure awesome!

The 8-Bit bar is more than worth an 8TB rating.



We stumbled across this wonderful place finding somewhere to eat our chips. Am I glad we did! A walk back up from the sea front and straight in we were, Myself, Daft Lad, Junior and the Boss.



You can keep your sea front arcades. I had a bar, barcades, cabinets, 2 floors of Retro gaming, and for the best part, most of them were free.



Kids were welcome as long as they abided by the house rules. They weren't difficult to understand.



It was nice to see original consoles available to use and the more recent consoles running retro games. Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy, Chucky Egg... All on the menu along with Mario and Sonic.



What a shame we only had 2 hours parking, the boys and I could have stayed so much longer!



Fantastic place to visit and marvel in what would now be every Forty year olds hideaway.

New location, but still the spirit has survived the move. Huge sofas to play any of the massive selection of games in comfort. Great food available downstairs and at very reasonable prices you can really make a night of it.

My son found the 8-bit when they were in Falmouth and became obsessed.

Today for Jack 12th birthday we went to there new home and have to say thank you so much for your hospitality and understanding, you made Jack's birthday in his words "the best day ever"

Me and my boyfriend love this place we have only been a few times one of those times was for my birthday so we booked it for the night for an amazing price! me and my friends all traveled from Newquay to have an awesome night and we definitely did! Lovely staff and fantastic place!

Loving the new venue, it's the same winning warm welcome with the combo of drinkies and games, but now with awesome food and closer to my home! I'd move in if it were any more homely.

Actually with the PS VR, which is AWESOME; I am BATMAN! All be it a slightly afraid of heights motion sick batman, but I was still Batman!!!!!!!!!!!! When can I move in?

If you are a fan of the video game world and are fond of those that are like minded. You should probably head down there and hang out! Why are you still reading this review, get yourself down there and support the friendliest and most entertaining bar in Falmouth. Chill out with some delicious cocktails and play some games new and old, with friends new and old.

I was in Falmouth on my own for the first time and being here was like being at home, lovely bartenders, wonderful atmosphere best bar I've ever been to!

I was in Falmouth for only one night, was looking for a place to have a drink and spotted this place out the corner of my eye. I was so glad I did. Entered and got welcomed. Even though I was alone and had come from 4 or 5 hours drive away they still was nice to me. Teamed up with me for the quiz too! And the brownies are to die for! Really need to come back and bring my boyfriend! Thankyou for the amazing evening.

I can't describe how amazing this place is and how much you need to go there and experience it. To play the games costs you the price of, very reasonably, drinks. There are retro games, e.g. Super Mario Bros 3. (NES) Drive) to modern games such as No Man's Sky (PS4) within less than a week of its release!!! Amazing decor & atmosphere, friendly staff, free wi-fi and you can charge your device, for FREE!! Defo, going back after 7pm to play the over 16 games, can't wait :D

Headed to the 8-BIT gaming bar tonight for one of their VR-Gaming nights and it was such great fun. The Hosts were amazing and helped us with everything. Would recommend to anyone !!

Great evening playing VR Star Wars and Batman on the PS4 (and getting roundly trounced on Call of Duty). Thanks for such a warm welcome, first time in the new venue and you've definitely transplanted the friendly atmosphere across along with all the games!

Great establishment with friendly and helpful staff, plus they have a great selection of games from old to new, digital to physical with more being added.



The drink you can purchase are amazing and it's just a great place to meet people with a common interest as you.

Go for it, folks - best of luck with all the fundraising! Crash Bandicoot and FF7 are getting re-makes and 8Bit will be re-made too, I'm sure of it :)



Only improvement I can think of is that I'd love to see some mocktails on the menu when you re-open. Falmouth is a bit of a trek from the West Mids but my husband and I were here on hols this week and have had one hell of a great time, so if we're ever in the area again we'll definitely stop by!

Drinks are as amazing as the selection of games and consoles to play them on. Also highly recommend the VR system.

Awesome place wish It was in redruth when I was in my teens! Realy good atmosphere with great people. All gaming is free to customers and the best is yet to come..... double JD and coke £4.50 for a DOUBLE that's cheaper that spoons which in my opinion is something to shout about well done hats off to you sir! Spent half an hour on the playstation VR (AMAZING) and the new food menu is looking good will definitely be trying next time. Highly recommend visiting this place and I will definitely be back soon!
