Little Thief are a Bristol-based rock outfit thrashing out upbeat, heavyweight, dip your toes in and call for mummy, sex fuelled, hot & sticky, wet mess magic.... These guys have an upbeat, energetic live show that will shake the clothes from your back and give your heart that extra beat we all deserve. Following the release of 'Freak', Little Thief have been busy on tour and in the studio recording their debut EP which will be released in Spring 2019.

Anthemic pop with heart and ambition, Liverpool-based Gallia seems to be destined for big things.

RECORD STORE DAY 2019 @ 81 RENSHAW
Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. And we are pleased to announce we’ll be participating again this year.
Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and we’ll be making a full day of it. We’ll be opening the front bar at 7.30am for hot drinks, bacon butties and veggie sausage sandwiches. At 8.00am the venue will ope...n as a pop up shop.
We’ll be stocking as many of the releases as we possibly can (last year well over 400). We’re committing to having a large amount of stock on the most popular releases.

★ Pop-Up Liverpool Music Museum - We've collaborated with LJMU Special Collections and Archives on creating a pop up Liverpool Music Museum for Record Store Day this year. There will be selection of fanzines, photographs and Eric’s Club tickets recently featured in their recent Punk exhibition at Liverpool Central Library.
We will also be exhibiting the John Lennon Time Capsule. Commissioned in 2010 by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio, with the help of Yoko Ono, there are only three in the world. One stored there, one in Tokyo and one at our very own LJMU. No-one knows what is in each time capsule and will not find out until John Lennon's 100th birthday. It has been shown occasionally at the university but on Record Store Day it will be on display for the first time in a public venue. Folks will also get the opportunity to add their musical stories to a collection of memory cards being archived alongside the Time Capsule until its official opening in October 2040.

Johnny Dowd is an American alternative country musician from Ithaca, New York. Typical of his style are experimental, noisy breaks in his songs and strong gothic elements in the lyrics as well as in the music. There is also a strong undercurrent of black humour and the absurd in his work. Although his early albums were most celebrated in the alternative country community, he has never quite fit into any particular genre. As a singe...r-songwriter, his music is most often compared to that of Beck, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and Captain Beefheart.

got to be honest, and i buy a lot of vinyl, but this place is the absolute top of the pile for record buyers. Friendly staff, knowledgable too and what a collection of new and used rare vinyl.Would recommend you to get down there....infact, ill be back tomorrow :)

This place is quickly becoming the best place in Liverpool for music lovers to drink in, chat and browse through easily the most reasonably priced records in the U.K. I was in here for a few hours and I'm convinced that this is the best record shop in Liverpool - friendly, knowledgeable and passionate staff - lovely beer and great tunes - what more do you want!? I'll will be back several times - thanks Neil and Steph!

There's a lot to commend about this venue. I have yet to find a downside. You really should check it out.

Seriously good gig from Takotsubo Men last night at 81 Renshaw Street. Such a big & well organised sound from this bunch that clearly know how to put the 'Power' into 'Trio'. Don't miss the next gig. Caning my new album all morning too and It Sounds 'Fantastic!' #allkillernofiller...

Popped in after dropping daughter off at uni. Lovely atmosphere, decor and good playlist. Staff welcoming. Panini was great and served with tasty fresh salad and tortilla chips. Presented well and good value for money. Pot of tea very decent...not weak and enough for two generous cups. Spotted they have comedy on most nights. Great venue for a night out I'm sure. Also a vinyl section downstairs as a bonus.Will definitely be back.

Love it here! The Breakfast is beautiful and the staff are amazing! Always chatty and very accommodating! the interior is so quirky! Kay you and your staff are awesome! x

In the town for a day over from Dublin. We called in for soup, sambo and tea and were not disappointed. Nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Remember to give the staff words of encouragement occasionally such as " you're doing a great job!" Apparently it helps!

If you genuinely love music, you will genuinely love this place. A real chance you will encounter interesting characters, and hear some excellent anecdotes from the eons and on and on.....

Great cafe, with vegan options. Cool record store in the basement with a wide selection and they put on hardcore punk shows in the back venue. Ideal.

Excellent night at Heaven's Gate @ 81a Renshaw St, lovely vibe, good beer & tea (& cakes)! Fantastic value for money with 3 headline artists Steve Roberts, Jason Mcniff and Quiet Loner aka Matt Hill with a wonderful songwriters circle ably supported by the Mudcat Brothers! Late finish but it was a bank holiday and we'll worth it with such talented singer songwriters! �

Brilliant selection to choose from at really fare prices!!! The staff are ever so nice.

Boss venue. Boss sound engineer (Mark, a genuinely lovely guy and excellent at his craft). Boss owners (Neil and his missus are two of the most lovely people in the world). Boss bar staff too. Just a boss place!

Being a veggie for 25 years... this is literally the best veggie breakfast I've ever had! I will dream about it x

Always amazing!!! Love everything about this comfortable and quirky local gem! Food is consistently great, service delightful and nothing is ever too much trouble. Great selection of veggie and vegan treats and the cakes are to die for. The have a wonderful selection of events that are always great fun.
