We don't just do Happy hour here at 97 & Social, we do happy times ⏰ Get 2 for 1 on cocktails all day Monday & Thursday, from 4pm on Sundays, 12pm-7pm and 10-11pm on Fridays and 5-7pm on Saturdays. Happy days 😁

Delighted to discover tipsy tea! Our group had a combination of steak, burgers and afternoon tea and they were all superbly presented and quality was excellent.

Good atmosphere and despite being busy we found a great table and the staff were really attentive.

We went for tipsy tea here on Saturday and it was fab! Staff were brilliant, food was lush and cocktails were too die for haha brilliant night all round have already organised my next visit in 2 weeks time haha x

We had the cock n cow platter, it was absolutely delicious. Steak was perfectly cooked, chicken was so tender and juicy and the sides were lovely. Combined with the lovely cocktails (and beer) and the lovely friendly staff I would highly recommend

Visited for a reunion with a large group of friends (20) yesterday Saturday 5/3/16 for Tipsy Tea. The staff could not have been more helpful, patient and never rushed us even though they were very busy. The 'Tipsy Teas' were delightful, the sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious and more than plentiful ..Excellent value for money and excellent service ..Thank you 97 & Social we had an amazing afternoon 👍Will definately recommend to friends and a return visit is a must 😃

The food in unbelievable!! The chicken knocks nandos into the gutter. Forget fingerlicking good, it's hand eating good to get every last bit!! It's definitely the place to be in Jesmond for a night out too. I alway start off here for a cocktail or two

So impressed so busy when we walks in got sat and me and my boyfriend ordered food me - steak and turf and him - full chicken! Both meals cooked to perfection!! I ate mine then ate half of his � plates got cleared and asked about booking again for next week but keep us 2 chickens instead of 1 to hear it's coming off the menu!!! Foaming!!! Chicken was soooooo good wish I could come and collect on a Sunday rather than going to Asda!!! #bringchickenback will 100% be back for more food!!

Myself and my husband were prize winners from the facebook competition and we visited last night...we had an amazing night and all down to the wonderful staff who couldnt have done more if they tried to make us feel welcome...food was beautiful and atmosphere was on another level...thank you so much you all work so hard and not one without a continous smile on their face...I highly recommend this place for their all round brilliance ...we will definately be back soon ����

My family and I came for Father's Day lunch after winning your Father's Day competition and we had a fantastic time. The Sunday Lunch was amazing & extra brownie points for the HUGE Yorkshire pudding. The service was great and we were well looked after. Looking forward to returning again on Saturday for Plate Day. Definitely recommended to all.

Loved this place, tipsy tea for 4 with my hubby my son and his wife was amazing, value for money and delicious, service was great lovely friendly staff and decor is fab, will defo be returning soon

I was with the funeral party for BRIAN yesterday. Staff opened the bar really early specially for the wake. Food was provided plus 2 free drinks for people. I can only say that it was a beautiful gesture it was in honour of Brian who was a regular at 97. The bar staff were and are great�

Heard good things about the food here so popped in to see for myself, and I wasn't disappointed!! I had the cheesy garlic bread to start and her the chicken and chorizo skewers. Both very very tasty, but could have chosen any of those starters as they sounded amazing! We both had the steak for main and it was cooked to perfection! Slightly disappointed to see they had taken the chicken off the menu as I'd heard that was pretty special (bring it back!!)! Had to finish it off with a Snicker bocker glory, obvs!! Absolutely delicious, definitely a two man job but definitely worth the regret after!! Staff were amazing, extremely attentive, couldn't have done more for you, good atmosphere and will be returning for more!!! ���

Great place for food, and good atmosphere, Sunday lunch was excellent as were the other meals we ordered. Staff very excellent and very accommodating as my daughter did not like the options on the Sunday lunch menu. Will definitely be back again.

Came last night for my birthday. Arrived and it wasn't really that busy but service was slow... took about ten minutes to be seen by even the guy was in front of us and didn't say he would be with us in a minute... got served.. had a tabled bkd so sat down food came and it was lovely but no one came

To ask if we needed anything else etc.. just a little disappointed by the service and that was mid week

Came in for 241 cocktails this eve and I wasn’t disappointed! Was really busy but the staff behind the bar were really quick, efficient and couldn’t have have done any more, I asked a lot of questions as I have several allergies but they went out of their way to make sure I got a drink which was suitable for me. Excellent drinks and service and by far the best bar in jesmond. We will be back! X

Came for food on the off chance, next time it will be for purpose! Went with the Mrs and she got surf n turf.....perfection, I decided that the whole chicken with Peri peri on side would be for me! Wow! Cooked to perfection and Im told it's going off the menu by the server! Total shame as I've not had any chicken cooked any better from a restaurant never mind a bar grill! #illbeback

Attended the Sunday Quiz last night and had food with my flat mates! Service was friendly and fun which complimented the overall atmosphere of the bar!

Great pub, friendly staff and beer is top notch,DJ on weekends playing 80/90s music

Great idea and great value! We had very good service and enjoyed the cocktails in teapots! Just enough of the little cakes, scones and sarnies too.

£8 for a cocktail and it had no garnish and tasted awful only reason I didn't complain was because it was happy our so I got two awful cocktails for one 😂
