About A Better Start Southend - Work Skills
The Work Skills project at Southend Borough Council is part of the Lottery funded A Better Start Southend program. Our aim is to support parents of children under 4, or expectant parents, within the 6 ABSS wards, to get into employment, training, education or volunteering. We run regular events with local organisations, education providers and businesses, from the creative sector, to care, hospitality, retail, and much more.
