HereтАЩs the boys attending to an old dead eucalyptus pollard that needed removing this week in Wrangaton near Ivybridge.
We decided to fell the tree in one go to save time, but there was no margin for error due to the delicately laid curb stones that ran up the driveway.
Factor in some basal decay aswell as some thriving shrubs and we had to be spot on.
... Safe to say everything went according to plan and the winch tractor helped guide the large stem onto the strategically placed timber, ready to brace the fell.
Another big tree dealt with safely by the team ЁЯСМ and a happy customer that was rather impressed !

This large willow stump was preventing our customer from getting the most out of their garden space so in we came to remove it for them.
All ready now for turfing to fit in with the rest of the lawn.

Back to Aarons old primary school here to remove this decaying Norway maple whilst school was out for easter! ЁЯНБ
The base had began to hollow and dieback began to appear in the main crown as a large leader had been lost in the past so it was decided after being surveyed that removal would be the best option for the safety of the children and staff of St JohnтАЩs Primary school.
A challenging dismantle as most of the tree had to be rigged down so that we didnтАЩt damage the chil...drenтАЩs favourite climbing frame.
Of course everything went according to plan and all the woodchip was retained on the site to be used in various areas ЁЯСН
Stewart even managed to fit in a тАЬking of the castleтАЭ pose for the camera!

Not such a GOOD FRIDAY for our customer here on this emergency job as this large oak tree uprooted earlier in the week crushing the family car!
Luckily nobody was inside it at the time but it was certainly past repair, the customer also made a great start on the clear up meaning we only needed to spend today on site.
All the timber was extracted to another field and logged up for future use, with the main stem being taken back to HQ Ready to be made into planks for a dining t...able at a later date ЁЯШН
The site was safe by the end of the day and the customer had landscape gardeners in tomorrow so the job had to be complete today!
Time for the team to down tools and enjoy easter, hope you all have a good one!

Remember I asked where this stunning view was earlier in the week.....
Well we were working in Staverton removing a Lawson cypress that had got out of hand close to our customers property!
A bit of rigging and delicate work around the phone lines including some uphill dragging ЁЯШЕ and the job went as planned.
... The customer asked for the stems to be left higher than ground level so that they could potentially be carved into a feature for the garden at a later date which is pretty exciting!
A couple loads of firewood also when seasoned, and we had a satisfied customer that also had their view of Staverton opened up even more so ЁЯСМ

All hands on deck hitting every aspect of tree surgery on The Lupton Estate this week.
Multiple trees with defects to fell, crown lift , deadwood , and clear general storm damage from some brutal storms!
With the valmet on hand we were able to make light work of the large timber and take it away to be re-used in the future.

HereтАЩs the team removing a conifer in a ridiculously tight spot again in Brixham, Torbay.
This tree was blocking out a lot of light from the customers vegetable patch and beginning to crack the wall in places so they decided removal and re-planting was the best option here.
We shall be back to grind out the stump as best as possibly and put another species back in its place that is more appropriate for the surroundings ЁЯСМ
