We were here today and we had a lovely meal.

Very reasonable at £9.95 each for two courses and got loads of food. Lovely surroundings and friendly lady who served us, even knew where Bedford was. Thank you xx

User

Tried this restaurant near the high street and so glad we did. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing traditional Turkish food. A little piece of Turkey in Essex. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed

User

This high-class little restaurant in Brentwood High Street has everything going for it. Well prepared Turkish food, Anatolian wines, indispensable Efes beer, as much raki as you want. Unexpectedly for Turkish restaurants in Britain there was genuine Ottoman Sütlaç on the dessert menu - not baked, true, but more than welcome. Cinnamon was found for me, and I daresay rose-water too if I'd asked for it. Front of house staff could not have been more charming, obliging, or welcoming. The warm, cosy decor reminded me of some of those intimate, lamp-lit places you find down narrow, stepped Istanbul streets in Cihangir / Beyoğlu - old books and brass, a valve-radio, faded photographs. Very authentic, thoroughly recommendable. A delightful discovery.

User

Third visit tonight in as many months and can safely say that this is one of Brentwood's gems. Excellent quality and value for money (recommend the set menu with mixed grill). Service is impeccable. Decent enough wine menu and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

User

Really loved it!!! What a difference from the boring franchise restaurants on the high street. My friends and I loved the decor, authentic food and the whole ambience. Will be back :)

User

Loved the food, the music, the cozy atmosphere and the service

User

I was visiting a couple of friends who live in Brentwood who hadn't tried this place but as we all love Turkish food, we decided to give it ago. From the deco to the food & the staff everything was very authentic & felt like we were actually on holiday eating out. The food was amazingly tasty & very reasonably priced & the cocktails were to die for. Our waitress was very friendly, funny & helpful & couldn't do enough for us & other dinners. We had such an amazing evening & have now decided that this will be our spot for whenever I visit (From South London) which will not be in the too far distant future.

User

I and my friends always love it there. It's so authentic, the food! and the decor. ..it's like a cosy restaurant on a Turkish get away run by a family Nothing fake and in to your face, you can just sit, relax and enjoy. Thank you x

User

Great little restaurant. Went on a Tuesday night when it was really quite but the food was great and the service lovely. Highly recommend. Will be back. Great cocktail

User

First time in a Turkish restaurant so did not know what to expect. ..chose the vegetarian platter and to be honest had no idea what most of it was....but it was delicious! ! Lovely atmosphere and lovely food. ..just one little negative and that is upstairs the seats were really uncomfortable. Would deffo go again but with a cushion next time!!

User

Fantastic food and great service with s lovely atmosphere

User

Delicious food every time with a cosy, intimate interior. It feels like a space of calm from a busy Brentwood high street. Keep up the fantastic food! The lamb is especially good.

User

Visited while shopping in Brentwood. Lovely Turkish restaurant and very traditional. Had a set meal as lunch time, very reasonable, and food was good. Would recommend.

User

Food tasted amazing and the atmosphere and decor really makes it! The only we issue had was there was quite a wait between starters and main and then again once we finished, we got our bill because we asked for it and we still had our plates on our table. This was due to the high influx of takeaway orders they had. I think they should prioritise the restaurant over takeaway orders.

User

Service very poor, went with a party of 7, first of the main course was served at 7.55, the others at varying times, all of whom had finished by the time the 7th person was served 8.30. The staff had to be reminded that we were still waiting for one person to be served. Food OK. Although a deduction for the oversight was made from the bill, don't think we will be going again.

User

After trying most Turkish restaurants in Essex this was one of the worst. Had 3 cubes of lamb & chicken. Rice was out of a packet & stuck together, mixed grill with hardly any meat. Meat very well cooked. Over priced! But cosy nice staff. Only have one type is beer!

User

Went with 2 friends on Sat eve, My friend decided to have sea bass but when it arrived it was very 'fishy'...this is a sign that it is either old or has started to go off. We did make a comment to the waitress but nothing happened and when the bill arrived we were charged full price. Twice we had to ask for a reduction and in the end they took the cost of that meal off the bill. I am glad I am vegetarian as the restaurant serves Halal meat, I wonder how may people would eat there if they knew that. never again for me

User

Over priced and average food. Charged us £4 for 2 cokes but shared one can between our two glasses! Spent almost £15 on 3 dips and they tried giving us 3 tiny pitta breads.

User

Lunch menu not offered, charge made for pitta bread, no complimentary dips or salad normally you are offered these free in other Turkish restaurants . One skewer only for kebab on main menu , not value. Would not return here again. Very disappointing
