We’ve had a fantastic up take on our home delivery service this week! Our final deliveries for the week will be on their way out this afternoon and we thank everyone for their support and patience in this new service we are currently providing!

Good Morning,
With the current situation on COVID-19 outbreak we feel it is time to put together a strategy moving forward regarding a home delivery service.
As more people are asked to self isolate it will become more of a necessity to help the local community deal with the crisis.
... Therefore we will be implementing a delivery service as of Tuesday 24th March between the hours of 1pm-5pm with a following delivery available on Friday 27th of March.
In light of the situation we will require full payment over the phone before delivery to avoid contact with cash transactions. Orders must be over £10 and be made by phone call to our head office on 01430 860320 (option 1). This service is only available in a five mile radius of all of our shops and has limited product availability. Orders must be placed 24hours before delivery.
For any other information on this service please ask for Henry, Paul or Jayne upon calling the office.

Final piece of the Butchery Team on #Nationalbutchersweek
Henry (Tim's Son) is now the fifth Laverack to become a Butcher. You may say its just in our blood. Passionate for steak and all things beef you will often find Henry studying Sirloins or talking about the Dry Aged Beef in our Pocklington Store. The creator of the infamous 'Lavvy Burger' back when he started the customers haven't been able to stop buying them since. The perfect burger for any BBQ occasion or mid week meal.

'Meat' Luke!
Luke has been with us since he was an apprentice (He had a year off but we've forgiven you ;) ). He has learnt the trade by learning from those around him and has become a very skill full butcher. Very much an all rounder, whether he is putting orders together, serving in the shop or on the block boning beef he gets the job done. Often making all our added value products for our shop counter he has found a personal favourite in our marinated Thin rib. which we sell loads of nowadays, perfect when slow cooked all day.

Say hello to a very smiley Craig! Craig has been a butcher ever since he left school so its all he knows. He is always leading our carcass break down and cutting the steaks for our restaurant and pub orders. His skills that he has brought to our business are second to none and has helped us move forward over the last few years. He often prepares Tomahawk steaks for our butchers over in Poc...klington a steak that has come across the pond and become very popular over here in the UK. No doubt Craig's recommendation is an absolute show stopper on the BBQ when we get that sun back!

Meet the Sausage Man.
Stephen usually operates through the night with 2am starts to make the ton of sausage we sell every week. His dedication to getting each sausage perfectly seasoned is why we are well known for miles around. His commitment to our business has seen him work for us for a fantastic 13 years and we'd definitely be lost without him. Its comes to no surprise that he would always recommend one of his speciality flavoured sausages just pop in and check them out!

Second day of #nationalbutchersweek
So lets introduce you to Tom. Tom is a vital part of team here in HOSM. He very much is still learning the tricks of the trade but Tom is responsible for a lot of our production processes here at Laveracks. You will find him mixing & making all our Sausage Roll meat for our wholesale bakery or slicing all our Holme Cured Bacon for both our shops. Hence his recommendation of our very own Black Treacle Bacon, a real treat to the Sunday morning Breakfast.

Meet Paul!
Well we are sure you all already have. He has worked for us now for over 22 years and is our Butchery Manager here in HOSM. Paul will always be first to greet you in his pristine well displayed shop, his organisation is second to none and will always have your order ready for you. His recommendation is Ribeye steak now seen as one of the more popular steaks in many house holds now, Paul is often sneaking a couple for himself too!

Well we may as well start #nationalbutchersweek from the top.
Here is Tim, his life service means his butchery knowledge is endless and you will often find him stood at the block boning and rolling a brisket or chatting away in either of our shops. His recommendation is what Laveracks has become well known for The Traditional Rib of Beef. Perfect for those special family occasions.
