Our multi-disciplinary consultancy is design-led and business savvy. We act as client advisors in support of large and complex planning applications. We prepare heritage reports, townscape and visual impact assessments; produce CGIs, verified views and many other technical studies. We have expert skills in urban design, architecture and planning. Our studio assists investors and developers to navigate their way through complex planning obligations. We advise local, national and international government on exemplary place-making. We support the creative aspirations of architects, landscape architects and urban designers. We untangle the urban context for town planners and environmental consultants. We work alongside community groups … and lend a helping hand, if required. Our clients benefit from our ongoing, multi-sector experience. Having sat on all sides of the negotiating table, we are well placed to offer welcome insights and valuable advice to move projects forward. Our studio is led by Alan Thompson, an RIBA and RIAS registered architect, who has 25 years' experience in Architecture and Urban Design. Alan acquired expert design advisory skills while serving as a Senior Government Advisor at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) and as Head of Design Review at the UK Design Council.
