A & S Dog Training - Steve Fletcher

A & S Dog Training is a professional Club based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and affiliated to the Kennel Club Good Citizens Dog Scheme, the largest dog training scheme in the UK. We offer initial Puppy Foundation to Gold courses and 1-2-1 sessions.

Training classes are an important way to help socialise and train your dog at any age but starting early is beneficial for both you and your puppy.

Classes cover every aspect of ownership and basic pet handling to help you become a responsible owner with a happy, well adjusted and more obedient pet.

Each course consists of one lesson every week over eight weeks. The puppy class costs £55 for the course, and the assessment is on going. You will be presented with a certificate and rosette upon successful completion.

The Bronze, Silver and Gold classes each cost £50 for an 8 week course. If you wish to take an assessment for any of these, you may on assessment night with costs £5 and includes certificate and rosette, if you achieve the standard required on the night.

Classes for each level are held as follows:
-Tuesday Evening at The Ragged School, Markham Road, Chesterfield.
-Wednesday Evening at Swanwick Memorial Hall in Old Whittington, Chesterfield.
-Thursday Evening at Swanwick Memorial Hall in Old Whittington, Chesterfield.

The classes are 55 minutes long and start at the following times:
5: 30pm, 6: 30pm, 7: 30pm and 8: 30pm.
(Normally, the puppy class is at 5: 30pm, Bronze at 6: 30pm, Silver at 7: 30pm and Gold at 8: 30pm, however, these are not set in stone and can vary depending on circumstances).

We keep our class sizes small allowing for a more personal experience. Due to me being limited to a number of dogs in each class, we therefore ask for a £10 (non-refundable) deposit, which is to be paid within 3 days of you being allocated a place.
After which time, your place will be allocated to the next dog on my list, should your payment not be received.

I also do 1-2-1 training which is tailor made to your needs. Whether it be:
You have never owned a dog before.
You have a new puppy or a rescue dog and are having problems.
Your dog is pulling on the lead.
Your dog is barking at other dogs.
Toilet Training.
Separation Anxiety.
Any other behavioral problems that you wish to resolve.
This costs £40 for 90 minutes (within a 5 mile radius of Chesterfield).
This will be conducted in the comfort of your dog’s home address /environment where I will be able to assess both the dog and handler, which enables me to put a plan of action in place.
Should a second appointment be necessary, you are asked to contact me after 2 – 3 weeks of the first visit.
